QUICK HELP - Popsock Marks!!!
Slightly O/T/ but fashion-related...
Ohh dear! I'm going out tonight and have only just remembered to take my socks off to avoid that horrible 'popsock' mark around my ankles...but unfortunately I was too late. I'm going out in about 20 mins and my ankles look ridiculous! My outfit involves a skirt, and it will be far too hot for tights...what can I do?!
Does anyone know any quick ways to get rid of the mark? Apologies if its been posted before, dont have time to search properly!
Answer:
I hate it when that happens.
I usually rub rub rub moisturiser in. Doesn't get rid of it totally though. Good luck.
Answer:
ohh thankyou, i'll try that now! I've got myself in such a panic over this, what am I like? lol. It's doubly bad cos I've been wearing skinny jeans tucked into boots over the popsocks - so I've had an extra 2 layers pressing into my ankle all day, if that makes sense - it looks terrible! I'll be waaaay too hot in jeans or tights though. Thanks for the quick reply hun!
Answer:
Not sure if I'm too late to reply, but why don't you wear tights and then take them off in the loos later when the mark has 'faded' a little?
Damn you, popsocks, useful as they are!!
Answer:
Thanks netti - just seen your reply, but i'll remember that for the future, brilliant idea!
In the end i just went out complete with sock-marks. They had faded a lot (thanks to arnie's suggestion of rubbing moisturiser in!) - but I still spent the first half of the night convinced that everyone was staring at my ankles! I got very paranoid lol. Moral of the story - take your socks off in time, girls! :)
Thanks for the advice netti and arnie!

O/T fecking ebay
My bank card expires today, so I'm trying to update my ebay account, only it won't accept my new card details because it isn't valid til tomorrow, yet they've sent me 3 emails this week telling me my ebay account will be terminated unless I update my details.
HOW CAN I FECKING UPDATE MY DETAILS IF YOU WON'T LET ME?
Sorry I've had a shite week and I just needed to vent. As you were :p
Answer:
Paypal have said exactly the same thing to me, except it's my debit card.. and you can't edit that, only delete it and replace it
I give up on eBay and Paypal, nothing is ever easy!
xx
Answer:
Can't offer any solutions but here's a  just for you :D
Things like this really wind me up...I had issues with paypal a few weeks back and it really is infuriating!!
Answer:
Curls are you sure those emails are not spoof? Just asking cos ive had emails supposedly from Ebay asking me to update my details or they will close my account, and they were dodgy.
I didnt think Ebay would close your account just cos your credit card has expired.
Answer:
They did exactly the same thing to me a couple of months back Curls, wouldn't let me update yet kept sending me emails.
I seriously think ebay should come with a health warning, it's got to be one of the most frustrating companies to deal with especially when it comes to customer service and trying to get to talk to a human being.
Victorian style boots.

Victorian style boots.
For some odd reason I saw quite a few around a few months back, now the days are shoter and its getting colder, I can only find them in clarks (which is a yucky colour) and river island, and the size i'm supposed to be is too tight, and i'll be damned if I'm buying a size 8:eek:
Anyone else know of where they have some (preferably under £60) even if they are shoes, it will be fine, as long as they have a mary poppinsesqe about them:)
Answer:
I'm sure theres some in the additions catalogue for about £15.

Answer:
Cheers, not quite what I'm looking for though, the heel needs to be that funny curved shape..I may just wait till the river island saleand get the size eek:
Answer:
miss selfridge have some for £60. They are an ok-ish colour with very cool coloured laces :-) I got some similar-ish boots (but with a weird skinny heel) a couple of years ago from Jones, and i've hardly worn them because the heels are painfully high ( i know!). but, i'm thinking of changing the laces to nice coloured ribbon... that might inspire me to wear them more!
ooooh, I saw Burberry (i'm sorry, is that the right spelling?! I'm not quite chav-esque or fashion conscious or even aware enough, to know the correct spelling!) had some gorgeous ones, but they were about £500...
:D

London Markets
Hi
Can anyone advise me on what the best London shopping markets are and whether they are open just Sat or Sundays as well as times? I'm looking for general clothing etc Thanks
Answer:
Camden has definately declined in recent years. It used to be fantastic...
Answer:
Spitalfields is good on a Sunday and Portobello is good on a Saturday.
Greenwich market is ok too on a Sunday but not as good as the two above imo

well I have an interview on Tuesday :yay: and got to go and buy an outfit courtesy of The Job Centre :D
So... I got....
This jacket
These trousers
These Shoes
And I'm thinking a white blouse and black v neck jumper underneath :) What does everyone think?
Answer:
Love the clothes, but have you got a shirt with some color in it that you could wear instead of white?
The white/black look usually reminds me of waitresses sorry. :o And I think with all that black some color could look quite good. Very eye-catching. :)

THANKYOU I said that and my careers advisor, mother and OH all said 'ooh no white is professional'
With your blessing I will search out a coloured shirt tomorrow
Answer:
I think white can look professional, but I always like to add a bit of color to my black outfits (despite TS's rules) because otherwise the neutrals just start to look a bit dull on me. :)

Yeah same :) I am having enough of a nightmare trying to think of a necklace to wear that's not beaded!
