Hmm, shall I keep....?

NO.1. Ask :
Hmm, shall I keep....?
Am rather, shall we say, 'overspent' and have bought these things - trying to decide whether I really need/want, but just can't come to a decision - help!!
1. Brown 3/4 length double-breasted coat from Asda - haven't got a brown winter coat, but don't really 'do' coats that often - not bad price though for £40
2. Black tailored shorts from Dottie Ps, £20 - can't do them up without squeezing my tummy in, but once I've lost a few lbs.... I love these, they are so smart but I wonder if I'll really wear them - I'm thinking I should keep them, just in case...
3. A brown and cream combined shirt/jumper from Florence Fred - £18 - very smart, but could do without spending the money...
Over to you! :thanks:
Answer:
I'd keep the coat and top and buy some brown shorts instead so it matches both items :D
Answer:
Hmm, like your way of thinking, but I've already got brown shorts - they're just not as nice as the black ones... I like the black ones 'cos they're lovely material and are turn-ups - the brown ones are the Gap City shorts which I bought some time ago in the sale for a tenner, so I won't be taking those back!
Answer:
If you really think you will lose the weight then keep the shorts too :)
You can wear them with opaques and round toe heels in the winter or even boots :)
Answer:
I'd return the shorts if I were you. Winter is only around the corner, and your brown coat sounds lovely - particulary if you wear a big crooch on it, it'll look fabulous.
Just edited to add: The F+F top sounds nice. They do some nice items. Keep that along with the coat :) :)

.....where the item you fall in love are not in the shops yet or even worse never went into production
It's happened to me three times this season already. Yummy Paul Smith bone patent chelsea boots in the Harpers shoe suppliment, ring for stockists - never went into production. Lovely woven leather fan clutch from Kurt Geiger in loads of magazines, not in the shops yet and already a waiting list. Perfect red shoe boots in the Mail on Sunday magazine just over a week ago - never went into production.
Why am I being tortured like this?
    Answer:
If they never went into production, isn't that 'false advertising'?
    :)
    Answer:
I seen a lovely velvet blazer with lace edging in U magazine. When I went to the store to get it I was informed that it was in fact a jacekt and blouse that looked horrible irl :(

thats what i would have thought! lol
    Answer:
That's so bad if they never even got into production
It's bad enough when they did, you can't get hold of things even then, annoys the crappola out of me too.

    Another TK Maxx gem
ladies, I was in TK Maxx last night and they had some really cute metallic leather boleros. I know that sounds disgusting but they were so cute, the leather is extremely thin and soft and the colours are very muted. The have capped sleeves and I think they would be perfect for dressing up jeans etc and would look fab over evening wear instead of a wrap. They were only £30 too!
    Answer:
I must get down to TK Maxx, I've not been for awhile, all this talk of cheap Brora cashmere and now these, sounds great.
    Answer:
    They sound goooood.....
....but I can't go shopping until I work out why I appear to have been massively under-taxed!
    g_k
    Answer:
Exactly the reason why i've pencilled in a stop at TKMaxx this weekend, in between buying sample pots of paint at BQ
would love to get some cashmere as i'm still kicking myself for leaving a £39.99 fuschia cashmere polo neck last year
blonde, did u get one then?
    Answer:
No, I'm too busty for boleros, they just look wrong on me but I would have loved one otherwise!

Just to say thanks for recommending me the perfect bra, my party is on Saturday and I now have the perfect cleavage;)
    Answer:
Awww :) Did you get one of the Ultimo bras? I've heard good things about them but never actually tried any on. I'll definitely keep them in mind for next time I need a bra for a tricky outfit!

    Nice shirts
    Hello everyone.
Sorry to come barging in here (I only ever seek advice - my fashion sense is horrendous so I can't offer any pearls of wisdom!)
Anyway, I have a really nice pale creamish tweed knee length skirt which I plan to team with my knee length suede black boots. I just need something to go on top - I'm thinking a nice fitted shirt might go well? Does anyone know where I can get one please? (I don't have a great budget...)
    Thanks. xx :)
    Answer:
HM usually have some reasonable shirts. Next usually has some too and New Look can turn up some good finds as well. I think a cute fiftes' style jumper (Miss Selfridge have some) might look nice too, maybe worn with a vintagey brooch, or even the dreaded twinset!
I don't know about colour though - I've got a cream skirt and tend to wear it with sort of muted shades like warm-toned purple, brown, certain greens or dusty pinks, although I do sometimes wear it with brighter colours like hot pink. All those colours tend to look better with brown boots or shoes though, IMO, so I'm not sure if that's much help to you! I suppose a black top could work, but I'd have to see the outfit to be sure.

    Answer:
I think Zara are good for shirts, and reasonably priced too.
    Answer:

Thanks for the tips - methinks a little shopping trip is in order ce soir!! I just want to look a little bit like I've made an effort tomorrow night... Usually I just wear what ever I find on my floor... :o
    Cheers ladies. x
