Can I cover buttons with model airplane paint?
I have found brilliant True Religion Joey copies for next to nothing and have loads of pairs of them. My latest purchase is black but they have horrible shiny buttons. To make them more discreet (I want to wear them to work) can I paint them? Any ideas what kind of paint would work and be durable?
Answer:
Yes I think you can! I think its called acrylic paint, the stuff that comes in tiny little pots with the lids the colour of whats inside. I've used it for painting loads of different things its very durable.

Bangles
NO.2. ask :
Bangles
What can I do with a bangle that is too big and slips off my wrist all the time? Yesterday, I found that having a shopping bag in my hand did the trick, but that seems quite an expensive solution as it means I have to buy something every time I want to wear this particular bangle.
My bf suggested window insulation tape around the inside but I would rather ask you lot first to see if I can get a more ahem feminine answer.
Thanks!
Answer:
Maybe you could glue some kind of velvet ribbon or felt to the inside of the bangle?
Answer:
Put a slightly smaller one on after the too big one, to make it "block" the bigger one from falling off.. ?
Answer:
Hmm..I put a smaller one on after it but it knocked that one off too (this is quite a heavy bangle and if I put a heavier one on after it I think it's going to weigh me down on one side).
I could try the velvet ribbon or something but it is quite a bit too big I think.
Am I the only one with this problem then??

Answer:
No youre not, I have stupidly small hands and feet. To be honest, I just dont buy bangles if they are too big, unless I can wedge them up my arm if you see what I mean. Also, I put a smaller one after it like other people suggested. xx
French Connection top
NO.3. ask :
French Connection top
I really like this top and would wear it with skinny jeans and cherry knee high boots. I have a feeling the fabric would be very sheer, what can I get to go underneath it? hope this link works!

Answer:
Can't see the Link Lioness :(
Answer:
should be working now!
Answer:
I would pick out one of the colours of the shirt and get a vest in that colour or go for a nude colour. I've got loads of vests like that from Primark. Or MS do them. Of a night time you could just wear a nice bra if you have the confidence to do it!
Answer:
Personally I would put a plain vest or cami underneath it in a similar material - its a lovely top!!

Ice Blue Shirt and Tie for a male
NO.4. ask :
Ice Blue Shirt and Tie for a male
Me and Mr Cookie are getting married on 28 October and I need to find him an ice blue shirt and tie to match my wedding dress. He's going to be wearing a black suit with it.
I also need to find an outfit in ice blue if possible for a 2 month old baby boy too. This shouldnt be too difficult though as most boy baby clothes are in blue.
Help me!!!
Answer:
Have a look on www.thomaspink.co.uk they normally have any colour imaginable.

Which expensive shops are worth it?
NO.5. ask :
Which expensive shops are worth it?
Thinking of the more expensive shops like Karen Millen, Reiss, Monsoon and so on, which of them are actually of higher quality and therefore worth the money, and which of them are not worth it and more a case of just paying for the brand?
I don't think Monsoon clothes are very well cut. I would buy stuff from there during the sales but in my opinion they are not worth the full price.
I think Coast are of good quality because their skirts are all very flatteringly cut.
Answer:
Worth the money:
Karen Millen
Reiss
Coast
Boden
Not worth the money:
Designers at Debenhams (not necessarily that expensive, but I think you are definitely paying for the name)
French Connection (again not that expensive and generally nice clothes, but occasionally very overpriced for what they are)
Ted Baker
Answer:
Interesting that you mentioned Ted Baker - one of my favourite purple skirts was £20 from a Ted Baker sample sale. But again I don't think it would have been worth the full price.
Answer:
I love Reiss so I'm biased but I do think their things are generally good quality. They seem to pay attention to things like linings, buttons etc and I think their things are well cut. Some of the sweaters probably are overpriced though - I'd rather buy cashmere knitwear for a similar price.
Answer:
I've got a few nice things from Ted Baker too, but recently when I've been in there I've found myself thinking "There is no way I am paying that for that !" Maybe it's just old age creeping up on me and making me sound like my mother though:)
