How much?
How much on average do you spend on clothes per month?
Answer:
erm..completely varies. I can go for a month only spending £20 but another month spend a couple of hundred:eek:
I think my clothes spending has gone down a lot now since I wear smart work clothes for 5 days a week and will continue to do so when I return back to Uni.
Answer:
When i've worked out what i've returned etc etc probably varies anything from £60 to a couple of hundred.
I spend a lot at the start of each season (like at the mo for example:rolleyes: ) and then it patters out to less as the season goes on.
During end of Oct, Nov and December i may only spend £20 on myself because of buying xmas pressies.
Answer:
On average, probably about £300. But I can go a couple of months without buying much, then have a major splurge. Plus things like winter coats I only buy about once every 5 years, but I get something v. expensive and classic that will last for years.
Answer:
Yeah mine varies too. I would say the minimum i spend is £50, after that it could be a couple of hundred and sometimes more.
Fashion related disasters/embarrasing moments?
NO.2. ask :
Fashion related disasters/embarrasing moments?
Wearing a long skirt at uni and walking back to my room in halls (2 secs away) after coming back from the loo. Only for me to realise that my long skirt had got stuck in the back of my knickers. It would have been o'k if there had been no one walking behind me but there was a bloke walking behind me, oh the shame.
Answer:
I'm always walking around and forgetting to do my flies up:o
Especially embarrassing when i realise i'm wearing see through knickers that day:eek:
Answer:
I am always walking with my flies down thinking "Oh my jeans are suspiciously comfey, Maybe I am losing weight":head: only to discover my flies are down .
Answer:
I fell down the stairs in McDonald's on Oxford Street (the small one next to Dolcis). I went flying and in the process my heel broke as I landed in a heap at the bottom. I've never EVER felt so much shame in my life :o :o :o :o
It was the looks of sheer horror and shock that customers who were eating besides the mirrored wall gave me ..can u imagine happily tuckin into your burger and then out of nowhere you see me falling head first down the stairs in the reflection!!!! Noone bloody got up to help me though, mind! I had to limp back up the stairs!
My friends were sitting upstairs and didn't see me fall, but heard me scream and they didn't help by crackin up so hard they almost hyperventalated, a few were practically on the floor crying with laughter!!!! I mean CRYING!
Luckily for me, the shoes I had on were still across the road in Fath and the lovely manager, sent me to Topshop to get another pair as they'd sold out in my size.
There was another time, the following summer I think, when I bought a wicked, pair of 60s style wooden cone mules from Nine West. These shoes were lovely! As I stepped off the bus as I was going home the f***kin heel snapped off! I was on my knees on the middle of New Cross Road, and yes for some bloody reason, the bus was STILL at the bus stop 2 mins later and everyone was laughing at me!!!!!! I had to limp home, which VERY luckily for me was 3 mins away but still!!
Not fashion related, unless I blame the grip on my trainers but I've also tripped up the stairs at a tube station (Charing Cross, I think). I was showing off, trying to beat my friend to the top who sensibly was on the escalator ..everyone started cracking up when I feel face first on the concrete steps. My shins were bloody killing me!! :o :o :o :o
Answer:
This was aaages ago, when I was doing work experience (so, year 10!).
On my lunch break I popped into Pilot and tried on a dress that I liked. It was elasticated and had no zip. It went on fine, fitted fine...but could I get it off?!
Oh no! :o
I had to stand in the middle of the changing rooms while an assistant tried to yank it over my head. She was very nice about it, but there was a really bitchy girl there doing work experience. When we all met up later she took great pleasure in telling everyone that she'd heard that some girl got stuck in a dress...etc etc
I was soo embarrassed, but couldn't stop laughing about it (still makes me chuckle). My friends all saw the funny side too, but I couldn't believe this nasty girl telling everyone from a really horrible point of view
Phew, nice to have got that one off my chest ;)
On the subject of flies being undone...me and Mr BB were stood talking to his housemate last night, and I had to try very hard to stop myself pointing out that the guy's flies were undone (Mr BB would have wondered how I noticed  )!
People who are/have been SA's..

People who are/have been SA's..
..has it made u more confident at sticking up for yourself when you have had to deal with bad cutomer service in shops etc?
I think for me it most certainly has.
Answer:
It's definitely made me more sympathetic to stressed SA's! I equally enjoyed/hated working as an SA - customers can be so rude to you, but then some days they'll make your day.
I do still find myself tidying rails in shops though without thinking :o
xx
Answer:
It has made me more confident as I actually know my rights, its amazing how many people spout off trading standards acts blah blah that they have no idea about! I know how difficult a job it can be and always say if I've received good customer service.
I hope I never have to work in a 'bricks and mortar' shop again though - I like hiding behind my website too much!
Eta, Small Girl, one shop I worked in we had to 'space' all the clothes on the rail at the end of the night and I find myself still doing it to the clothes in my wardrobe when I'm tidying:o
Answer:
I think it has. It's definately made me more sympathetic though! But at the same time, it's made me more frustrated when I see SAs who aren't doing their jobs properly!
Answer:
When I was a SA and went shopping I used to compare the service I was giving to the service that others were giving. It used to annoy me when I would go in to a 'posh' shop and they would , I felt, look down their noses at me..grr:) especially as we were doing the same job basically.
Ebay for me the moron
NO.4. ask :
Ebay for me the moron
Funds are low right now and I've come to the conclusion that my vast amounts of clothing need to be dealt with. Ebay seems like a good option but what does/doesnt sell well? Obviously I'm not going to sell stuff I like but how much can I expect to make? I have tshirts, jewellrey, etc. The only thing I've sold before (and it was actually my boyfriend who did it) were some festival tickets that went for a small fortune. xx
Answer:
At the mo popular things seem to be...
Skinny jeans
Stripes
Jumper dresses
Metallics
Slouchy/pirate/vintagey boots
Most items do go though but i think it's all down to how you title the item and describe it :)
Answer:
But these are all the things I want to keep!
Answer:
I know i'm just saying:D If you can try and relate any item you are selling to a trend that always seems to help them sell.
Also doing the whole *boho military kate moss sienna* thing in the title works.
What kind of things exactly have you got to sell?
Answer:
I agree with CIC,my items seem to do very well,it must be how I title them,as some of the things are just average items.Include postage rates, and measurements etc.The better the pics the more you'll get as well.
