NO.1. Ask :
Irish Baggers ! Directions needed
hi folks
Quick little question - being a country bumpkin that i am - all the way down in the sticks of waterford. I need to know how to get to dundrum shopping centre.
Taking my lickle visit to dublin on sunday and while i know how to get to dublin i know i won't be able to find dundrum sc.
So tell me - i am at the red cow .... now i take a right ? and then where.
I have tried aa route planner but it gave me directions to taney cross and i don't know if that the same thing. And the website doesn't help the country bumkins either !!
thanks

Viva Glam, I never actually drive there because the Luas is so much handier but that's no help to you at all .. if you don't get any more replies, the only helpful thing I can say is to park your car somewhere in town or even somewhere like Ranelagh and get the Luas out .. it takes 10 minutes (yes, you're not dreaming) and you need to get off at Ballaly rather than at Dundrum and follow the signs ..
Don't forget to check out the new Harvey Nicks for us .. it's opening today.

Answer:
Someone told me that HOF is doing really badly out there....
Dump the car in Sandyford (loads of car parks) and Luas it in. Much better. Apparently the parking in Dundrum is mad money.
Luas info
Answer:
its so easy....just turn right onto the M50 (heading southbound) and keep on going past the tallaght exit, past firhouse, past the one after that.......the M50 starts to go uphill and you will see the turn off for Dundrum on the left. Go down the slip road, and follow the signs for Dundrum.........you go through a few roundabouts and eventually you will see a sign for - I think - the green carpark......you turn left there and just follow the signs. Its SO straightforward!!!
Clarice I don't think the parking is too expensive......not as bad as some of the car parks in town!
Answer:
Dying to check out the new Harvery Nicks! Does anyone else wish they had just put it in town somewhere, as well as HOF?? Dundrum is a bit of a trek for me :( Didn't stop me going over there about 5 times in the first 2 weeks it was open though :D
Enjoy your shopping trip VG, the new centre is fab (but very dangerous fund-wise...)

    Accessories and other stuff
I want to update my look and have a more fashionable look. At the moment I always just wear jeans, trainers and a basic tshirt and zip top or hoodie. I never wear jewelry or any sort of accessories. Part of the problem is that I'm only 5'1" and a lot of clothes just don't fit properly but I never know what goes with what and what looks ok. I never know what accessories like belts or jewelry to wear with things either. Can anyone help?!
    Answer:
chunky jewelry is cool at the moment - wooden bangles etc
u can wear a belt with anything - just few an far between, my friend kt wears belts with everything - its just getting a bit "overdone" u know?
what stuff do u have / like or have put together as an outfit - ill tell u if i think it will look good;)
    Answer:
    Thanks :)
Literally all I have is jeans and basic t-shirts. I want to go on a big spending spree to buy some new clothes but want to get something that will be fashionable but isn't going to make me look stupid.
    Answer:
Lilf, you sound like me 6 months ago!! :D
I'm by nature a jeans and t shirt gal but like you, got fed up with it and thought I looked 'boring' (no offence to you, there's nowt wrong with wearing these. I was just fed up of my look)
I still wear my pumas on comfy casual days, but I've swapped trainers for knee boots and ballet shoes. Where I used to wear trainers with my jeans all the time I now wear these cute black indian-style pumps which means I can wear dressier tops without it looking odd (trainers and dressy top = no no IMO!)
I also swap jeans some days for cropped trousers. There's loads about at the mo and they're so flattering. I'm also after knee-length city shorts cuz I'm loving these. I'd wear with either knee boots or high heels.
Try layering your t-shirts with shrugs, cute military waistcoats or cardis. Try long beaded necklaces or charm necklaces to liven it up a bit.
Also why not layer two vests, maybe dark grey/white for instance, for a funkier look?
Belts are good too, as are big slouchy statement bags. I think you can wear jeans, boots and a plain top but if you've got a fab coloured bag you'll look super stylish.
Sorry, that was a big lengthy :p hope it helped a bit!
    Answer:
Thanks Becka. I know what you mean about looking boring. Sometimes I think that a man could wear my clothes and not look odd. Just jeans and boring tops all the time. Not a good look... Thanks for your suggestions though. Very helpful :)
