NO.2. ask :
Grrrrrr!!!!
Am so angry!
I made an order on Jones the Bootmaker site last night. Went to checkout and it said auhorisation declined, check my bank account and it said the money had gone out:rolleyes:
Phoned them today and got a very rude lady who said it can't have been taken out as they don't take payment until item is shipped and that i should take it up with my bank (in very rude manner!)
Well it's saying the money has been taken out of my bank:mad: Very polite girl at Natwest said it might be a provisional payment and may be refunded in the next couple of days, if not they would send a statement out to me so i can take it up with Jones.
Now i wouldn't have had a problem if she had said it nicely but she was soooooo rude with her 'Not my problem' type attitude:rolleyes: It may not be a lot of money to them but it is to me:rolleyes:
Really want the boots but don't know whether to risk trying it with Fiance's card unless the same happens again:rolleyes:
Sorry for the rant, this just saves me hitting my head against a wall!!!!:D

Re: Grrrrrr!!!!
Hi, CiC,
I have been charged for things twice in the past with my Visa. One was for some plane tickets: they took the money once and then took it again (nice!). When I asked the agency about it, they said that the first transaction had been declined so they put it through again. Apparently, it happens sometimes even if you have the money in your account. It sorted itself out in the end and I only actually paid for one set of tickets, even though it was coming up on my online Visa statement as twice.
I don't really know what to suggest. I know you don't really want to ring her back, but I think you need to know whether your order's being processed. You could wait a while, but if it's a sale item and you're a bit nervous about them running out, I'd probably try again with another card. You could always send one pair back if it turns out you've double ordered.
xxx
Answer:
Oh no! That's awful - so sorry that's happened to you - it's all my fault for showing you the boots in the first place :faint: What horrible customer service - another shop to boycott  Ring back and see if you can speak to someone more friendly.
Zoom are pretty good - if you can get through to them that is. I ordered some Miss Selfridge shoes and they didn't turn up after a week and they refunded me straight away - no questions asked.
Answer:
She's say on her end there's no record of an order and no payment has been taken. I'm going to wait a couple of days and hope the money was just provisionally taken. Will prob try OH's card in the meantime:)
It isn't your fault curls:p I love the boots just not the up themselves customer service:lol:
Didn't know they were part of zoom, may try that ;)
Answer:
Didn't know they were part of zoom, may try that ;)
Oops no they're not - thought they were.
So P!ssed Off
NO.3. ask :
So P!ssed Off
I am wearing the lovely red ankle boots I won off eBay a couple of weeks ago for the first time today and the left foot has split along the seam, completely ruining them
Should I contact the seller? They weren't 100% brand new, she had worn them once.
Answer:
If they showed signs of wear there before than maybe?
To be honest though i don't think anything can be done if she advertised them as worn. You could send her a friendly email saying "I'm so gutted, the boots i bought from you have just broken along the seam - please email me if you have anything similar".
If she's really nice she may offer a refund. If not well:confused:
(wasn't much help was it, sorry:rolleyes: )
Answer:
She is a Power Seller but specialising in antiques, I think I'll give it a go see what she says. On the bight side I had found a couple of pairs that would very good replacements.
Answer:
Yeah i'd email her - if you have both already left feedback for each other the worse that can happen is she tells you to piss off :D
Don't forget that i shall need to see the replacement boots;) :p
Answer:
Actually CiC this is all your fault - if you had sent me your red boots like you were told to do I wouldn't have had to buy this pair in the first place.
What kind of coat to go for?
NO.4. ask :
What kind of coat to go for?
I wasn't going to bother with a coat as i didn't feel like i'd get much use of it but after freezing when wearing my cord jacket to walk the dog i think i need ones :D
Has anyone got any suggestions? (Links or piccies would be great)
My clothes this year are mainly skinny jeans tucked into boots, jumpers layered with vests, couple of pairs of shorts, stripes and the like - quite mod looking.
I don't want a long coat, fancy something that sits hip length - which could be difficult finding as i'm tall.
It needs to be grey or black (think black would be better). I don't want anything OTT military, inspired maybe though as i've always liked military. Fairly warm - wool maybe?
Am kicking myself for not buying a HM coat now that i saw 2 months ago. It was hip length, wool mix, had two big pockets and a wicked funnel neck. Has anyone seen these still around at all?
Thanks in advance x x x
Answer:
Hmm, I'm in the same predicament as you - I don't really do coats, but then when it gets colder, I change my mind! I didn't want to spend a lot 'cos I know I probably won't wear it that much (apart from work) - just bought a brown double breasted 3/4 length one from Asda - £40! Most of my coats are actually jackets and then my bum and the top half of my legs get really cold.
Having said that, I've still got the tags on and am trying to decide whether I really need it.
Can't really think where I might have seen some of the type of coat you're after - perhaps try Oasis, Wallis, Principles, Next, Debenhams, Warehouse - mainly high street I suppose!! Sorry I couldn't really help much!
Answer:
There was a post a couple of days ago about MS winter jackets and this one might be what you're looking for?
Answer:
I LOVE that MS coat. Might have to look for that one...
Answer:
I quite like that shiny :) Will have to check it out in the flesh when i can.
Just wanted a kind of short list so when i can make it into town i don't have to trapse around everywhere:lol:
I just can't get enthusiastic about buying a coat:yaright:
