how big is the araline?

NO.1. Ask :
how big is the araline?
There are some pics on the Mulberry site of it in context but how big is it in reality, and how much can it hold?
Answer:
Have no idea on the diameter or anything like that but it's not huge, but bigger than I expected for the money.
You could easily get purse, mobile, make-up, book in there but you couldn't hold a lot of junk in there like in the Fendi Spy.
Answer:
would that be a squeeze or could you fit a bottle of water and a digital camera in there too?
I will be able to see it myself the week after next but thought I would try to gauge some opinions now :)
Answer:
It's pretty big, do you want me to take a pic of mine on my shoulder?
VB x
Answer:
ohh, if you would. I'm contemplating it as a treat to myself, only comtemplating mind.

    Earrings
What type of earrings are in fashion at the moment?
I don't think all these dangly ethnic type ones look right without boho clothes and therefore I havn't worn earrings for the last 3-4 months or more...
    Answer:
I think ethnic jewellery as a whole is on the way out, although I still like some bits personally. I tend to wear bronze hoops or gold vintage looking dangly ones. Sometimes I go without though. I have some great big black and gold danglies that look good with the rock chick look.
    Answer:
I've worn plain skinny usually silver hoops for decades now. There's pictures of me in my late teens with the same style earrings that I wear now. I tend to go for larger or gold ones for evening but they're nearly always hoops.
    Answer:
My faves at the mo are there....

They could be quite boho i guess but i think them being silver/gunmetal stops them looking like this.
Also loving silver hoops and would love a black pair too but it's like mission impossible finding black non pierced hoops:rolleyes:
    Answer:
I'm not a fan of huge earrings. I bought some fab little dangly beaded ones from an arty crafty shop - they're grey, black and navy beads and seem to go with a lot of this season's trends.

Silver slouch leaf bag - where is it from please!
    Hi everyone!
I'm at home today after having my wisdom tooth out so thought I would do a bit of catching up on here and maybe a bit of retail therapy (to help with the pain of course;) )
I have seen a stunning silver bag on a couple of girls and I really would like one for my birthday! It's quite unusual - sort of a brushed silver medium sized slouch leather bag which is completely covered in silver leafs. It's so pretty!
It looks quite expensive, but you never know these days it's probably from Primark!
Does anyone know where it's from??
Many thanks for those who reply..
    Rumplex
    Answer:
They had these for £20 in a shop called Milano in Liverpool, they also had leather ones for about £60 in a shop called Drome. You are right, they are pretty although I don't know of a chain store that does them I am afraid.
    Answer:
Not much help, but I saw the original ones in a magazine recently. They were done by a designer whose name I can't remember
I know Asos.com did copies of them for a while as well, and there are a couple of ebay at the moment.
    xx
    Answer:
    Thanks girls!
TheBlonde - I don't live in Liverpool :( but thanks for taking the time to reply! :)
    Smallgirl I will investigate ebay!:)

    Answer:
You used to be able to get them on ASOS.

    Kate Moss dropped by HM
Sorry can't do a link on this rubbish computer as it all crashes but if you look on www.sky.com then it's on the main headlines page.
    Answer:
oh dear... there has been talk of this all week but I wasn't really sure that it was going to happen.
It seems a shame, but she's such an icon that it's probably understandable why a big reputable high street chain wouldn't want a confessed druggie to represent them. I am sure she's not the only one and definitely not the worst, so I feel quite sorry for her really.
    Answer:
Julien McDonald was speaking about her on the telly last night and said she shouldn't be dropped as she's just doing what everyone's neighbour's doing.......
Someone was bound to cash in on it sooner or later though so she probably should've been a bit more careful.
    Answer:
    Good on them i say!
They target young girls and women mainly and although i think she's a good style icon she certainly isn't a good role model.
    Answer:
It kind of annoys me, as part of her success is surely down to her lifestyle - the whole partying/Priory thing? If she was a clean-living dullard no-one would care as much.

  • To eBay or not?

    NO.5. ask :
    To eBay or not?
After I get back from holiday I'm going to have a major clear out of my overflowing wardrobe in preparation for autumn/winter.
I've got lots of stuff I want to get rid of, such as little going out tops, skirts and dresses, some of which are very good quality and not very old.
I've never sold anything on eBay and was wondering whether it's worth the hassle of putting up a little top just for it to sell for 99p, with the posting costing more than that.
Am I beinmg lazy or shall I just take my clothes to a boot fair instead?
    X
    Answer:
    It's definately worth it.
I've made around £100 on ebay in the last month just from things i don't wear.
You can start them at the prices you want them to go for and the postage is extra to the item price so you don't get swizzed on that.
Ebay has been a god send to me because i've been able to make money to buy my winter clothes :)
    Answer:
Thanks CIC, I think it's just the thought of taking pictures and writing all the details that's putting me off :o
Just out of interest how much did you start off, say a Topshop top for?
    Answer:
I've sold a load of things this week, and i started most high-streety things off at £5 and they've all sold for more - topshop tops, new look shoes.
I even sold an unworn Agent Provocteur Bra for £45!!!
I think for most middle-end high streety stuff a fiver is a good starting point as even if it only sells for that you still make a bit and the buyer gets a bargain!
    Answer:
Yeah, I'd definitely do it LJ. I made £90 last month not selling anything particularly wonderful. Could you PM me your seller ID - I'd like to have a goosey-gander at your wares! ;)
