Yay, or nay? Opinions would be lovely!
I can't decide whether I should, or shouldn't. I'm still on maternity leave and will probably going back to work in the NY, so I need some new outfits. However, I'm trying to tighten my belt, so I shouldn't be treating myself to splurges, but......what about...this
and....these in brown as per dress pic
I'm still looking for a nicely fitted brown suede jacket as well, but no luck so far. Kicking myself for not buying one in Monsoon, last year! Yeah, yeah, I know it's all about velvet this year....trust me to be different!
Don't know why I'm asking, I know you lot are as bad as my non-Bag friends in encouraging expenditure!!! :p x

Answer:
I wouldn't possibly dream of encouraging anyone to spend money ;)
Seriously - those are perfect - I love the wrap dress - I might order one myself! Do make sure you use a discount code though - there are always at least 10% discount codes kicking around for Boden. See - I'm saving you money :p
Answer:
I really love the boots, they are :great: But...can't help feeling you could find a dress very similar to that for a lot cheaper. May be the student in me but £80 seems a lot for a dress like that, as nice as it is.
Then again if you can afford it, I don't see a prob :) I'm just thinking from my POV :)

Oooh, you bad girlies! :p I knew you would tempt me! I've been mulling over whether or not I should buy these for about 2 weeks now.
I've got a 10% discount code from Red that is valid until the end of September as well. Will still hurt my purse though - I've been splurging so much lately, only the moths are left!
I know what you mean about £80 for the dress SFK. The stingey bargain-hunter in me is also wondering if I couldn't get the boots elsewhere for a bit less money as well.
If I look at it in terms of price per wear though, I reckon they're something I would get a lot of value out of. I've spent about £150(when working, obviously!!) on dresses from Coast and elsewhere that I've worn once or twice, but won't get rid of them because they're so lovely and occasions might come up again!
Oh, there I go again, trying to talk myself into it! :p xx

I bought one of their wrap dresses last year in the sale in black and as it was a bit too long and a bit too big ended up giving it to my Mum, nevertheless it was the nicest quality and best fitting wrap dress I have tried on (and I now have three others, Asda and George :o ) the only one that came anywhere near it was a DVF one I tried on in Selfridges but then chickened out of buying!
TBH if you are mega strapped for cash you can get other wraps which will look fine but part of me still hankers for another one of the Boden ones...in fact I am very tempted myself!
My only pointers, don't size up, in fact possibly size down and go for shorter rather than longer unless you are mega tall!
You maybe able to save on the boots though, haven't tried their footwear yet.
Expensive and useless item?
NO.2. ask :
Expensive and useless item?
I've just been a proper Mrs. Sensible Trousers, talking myself into purchasing new items on a price-per-wear basis!
When I look in my wardrobe, there are things that are really cheap (like a brown linen fitted jacket from New Look) that I've worn to death and they've served me well....and ridiculous and costly items like a fake fur coat that I've probably worn once and decided never again because I looked like an opera diva.
I just stroke it now and again! :D
There are loads of shoes that I've worn once, and they've killed me, so I tend to avoid wearing them!
So what's the most expensive, but ridiculous and relatively unworn item you've bought?

OH but my Gucci ankle boots for Christmas one year, i've worn them twice for fear of ruining them:eek:
I have told myself i must start wearing them otherwise what's the point:meh:
Answer:
My OH bought me an Animal snowboarding jacket which has never been used for that purpose. :o
I admit it's definitely come in handy on cold days, but I've never taken it snowboarding or skiing.
In my defense, I saw it Jan 04 and couldn't afford it then, much less justify it in Florida - I mean even I couldn't make that one work! But I lusted after it kept bringing it up and searched for it high low on Ebay for 8 months, all the while b*tching to OH about not having bought it.
I come over in August 04 for my birthday only to find out that he'd bought it after I'd left in Jan as a present cause he knew how much I wanted it then. :boohoo: So while it hasn't seen a lot of use yet, it will in the future as he's promised to try teach me how to snowboard. :D
Answer:
Probably my huge brown Gucci monogram tote. When they first came out I borrowed a friends for about 2 years. When she asked for it back (the cheek! ) I decided to buy my own but by then the whole "chav" thing was here and my style had evolved somewhat. Therefore I've not used mine much and when I do, despite it being the real deal and costing a flaming fortune, I always feel really chavvy! :o I can't sell it on eBay because I'll get peanuts for it and despite still liking the colours it just never feels right when I use it.
Maybe I'll keep it for any daughter I may have - it might be considered "vintage" by then! :D
Answer:
A pair of Frye natural tan cowboy boots - they're lovely in themselves and not too OTT at all but the problem was that I bought them shortly before every man and his dog started wearing them, so now I feel like a fashion victim if I put them on. Oh well, maybe I'll get some use out of them in a few years time...
Trinny's "Statement" ring - where can I get one?
NO.3. ask :
Trinny's "Statement" ring - where can I get one?
I'm having a bit of an evening on here, while hubby is away! ;)
I don't know whether anyone has ever noticed, but sometimes you see Trinny wearing a really nice "statement" ring. It is quite big, oval shaped and looks a bit like it is made from Tiger's Eye or a similar stone.
I've been after something like that for ages, but I haven't seen the "one" yet. I only ever seem to see big rings made from amber, or ones that look a bit Christmas cracker-y!
I know Trinny and Susannah get a lot of stuff from Butler and Wilson, but can't see anything on their website.
Any ideas? x

Answer:
Ebay!
Answer:
i'm after one of these and regularly check ebay as loony suggested. none i've seen so far are 'the one' either
Answer:
Have a look on QVC's website, they have a load of Butler and Wilson stuff as well as other brands - I had a look on there the other day as I am also looking for a mahoosive ring for my right hand :D
Answer:
Thanks girls, I've been driving hubby mad dragging him in and out of places when we've been shopping. I see a lot of OK rings, but definitely not one that makes me go "a-ha!"
I only have little hands, so I guess I can't really get away with a really massive ring! :( xx

For anyone interested, Primark suede boots
NO.5. ask :
For anyone interested, Primark suede boots
Just thought I'd let anyone who was interested know, Bristol Primark are starting to get decent suede boots in. I bought a couple of pairs of black knee high wedge with lots of rivets on to sell - I'll post a pic in a bit. They're certainly new stock to Bristol so maybe this means that they'll be getting the ankle ones in soon  Let's hope so!
Answer:
ooh thats good news...I'm going to Bristol in a few weeks!
Thanks for the tipoff#!
Answer:
They're really nice actually, kind of Russian-y. Wish I could afford to keep them :( Here's a pic:
