Where's the hullo gone? :yaright:
I'm a 12 (big or small depending on your perspective) and I no longer wear babydoll tops because I've gotten the pregnancy question a few times. I wasn't really offended by it, more startled I think.
I've worn one or two outfits recently that were a bit different than my normal style and a few friends have commented they look a bit odd, but I figure hey, I want to try something new I think it looks pretty good on me! :p
Answer:

Woo hoo! It's back! :D
I think your tattoo looks fantastic I'd forget about the pregnancy comment cause I'm sure it was just someone who didn't know you all that well or was jealous of how good you looked.
I mean really - who asks someone if they're pregnant unless you know they've been trying?!
Answer:
Hullo!

Hipster help
NO.5. ask :
Hipster help
My name is peevishgiraffe and I hate hipsters. Well, maybe not hate, perhaps I just don't 'get' them. I have some regular, bogstandard jeans, and the waistband sits on or just below my bellybutton. I obviously have a short torso, as if I try to get the waistband to sit on my hips, it gets dangerously close to what is, frankly, the top of my fairy garden. :o Maybe I have such a short body that I can't wear hipsters on my hips? However, practically every other person you see has their bellybutton and stomach on display (not always the nicest view, but what the heck), regardless of shape or size. "Hipster" belts just make my hips look even bigger, so I end up not bothering. I don't want to go for the scrawny hipbones, skirt practically falling off or thong on display and muffins a-gogo look, but hipsters are meant to be flattering to those with hips, so, what am I doing wrong?
Answer:
Hi peevish,
Have you actually tried proper low-waisted jeans on, or are you just trying to adapt your higher-waisted ones? Well cut hipster jeans should look good on most people. I know girls with rounder bellies often prefer higher-cut though, so depending on your figure and what you feel comfortable in I wouldn't worry too much.
Also they tend to be more flattering on wider hips if they are also boot cut.
I'd recommend having a day shopping where you try on lots of different jeans - hopefully you will find some you like!
I know there's good recs for topshop, DP and new look jeans on here.

Thanks. I do have a slightly rounded tum, so I guess I will need to try more jeans on (not my favourite task). I only have bootcut jeans though, so I suppose that's a plus. I also need short leg length jeans and they should be dark rather than light denim. I can see a day spent jeans shopping when I'm next in the UK.
Answer:
There are definitely hipsters and then there are hipsters. Boot cut low rise jeans with a bit of a stretch are very flattering imo (i have hips, ass, thighs and not the flattest stomach myself) but you definitely need to try a few on to find a pair that suits you.
Answer:
GAP GAP GAP GAP GAP GAP GAP!
Take yourself to Gap, and get one of the assistants to bring you every pair of jeans they have in your size (they do do this, I spent 2 or 3 hours in the changing room whilst they helped me find the perfect pair of jeans for me)
I went for ultra low rise (which wasn't that low - they were perfectly decent) with a bootcut and stretch. Fit me perfectly and I love them.
