The elusive deodorant question...
Yes, you can probably already guess what I'm going to ask. Can anyone recommend one that doesn't leave white marks all over black clothes? It has to be a roll-on though as I'm allergic to spray and it makes me choke.
Answer:
I use the mitchum Hydro stick but it also comes in a rollerball, very good for me:great:
Answer:
Don't by tescos own make with the green lid, it takes ages to dry, you'll be doing the funky chicken for hours.
Dove is supposed to be good.
Tani
Answer:
Nivea do one which is spray, but not an aerosol spray - i don't know if that's any good to you. It's never left marks on my clothes :)
Answer:
I use Mitchum. Have used it forever and never had white patch problems, but now they do it especially to avoid this!

Animal prints with a conscience
NO.3. ask :
Animal prints with a conscience
Hello!
Have had to buy some posh magazines for work and was just flicking through harpers when I saw this link:
www.tusk.org - they are rubber wristbands with animal prints costing £2.50 with the proceeds funding animal conservation in Africa.
As a big fan of animal print I think I'll have to buy at least one - all for charidee of course!

Answer:
I have been very sniffy about the wristband explosion, but these are right up my strasse Mimi!
Might help that I am obsessed with animals :o
Answer:
Yeah I agree - I think they're great. I think I'll get one for my niece - she'll loooooooove it and of course, it helps Tusk which is the main thing. :)
Dresses for night out - how to not look like Girls Aloud?
NO.4. ask :
Dresses for night out - how to not look like Girls Aloud?
Hiya
I'm going on a bar crawl/clubbing in London in a couple of weeks and fancy getting dressed up. I usually just wear jeans and a dressy top but I fancy wearing a skirt.
I've got a lovely black satin pencil skirt but I'm not sure if that would look too OTT or officey. Other than that all the clubby dresses/skirts around just remind me of Girl's Aloud! Any ideas??
Thanks
Shell :)
Answer:
I think a black pencil skirt would look great, especially paired with heels a nice top. :)
Just make sure you can move easily in the pencil skirt, as I always have a bit of trouble with them after a few drinks because I think they allow more movement then they do. :o
Answer:
Thanks dol! I do have trouble with pencil skirts as well as they always ride up, ho hum, the price we pay!
I haven't decided where we're going yet but fancy somewhere upmarket where we might come across some nice rich men!!
If we get in somewhere flash then I'm sure I'll be fine, but if we end up in just a pub I'm worried I'll feel overdressed :o
The options at the moment are: black satin pencil skirt with black chiffon frilly blouse tucked in with a wide black belt cinched in at the waist with black courts. Either that or I've got this dress:
I think I'll feel more comfortable in the dress, what do you guys think?
Shops in Manchester
NO.5. ask :
Shops in Manchester
Am up in Manchester for the weekend, where should i head for?
Answer:
The Arndale centre. All of it!
Answer:
TopShop shoes and All Saints on King Street, there is a brilliant TopShop in the Arndale, Harvey Nicks and Selfridges and a massive Primark.
Answer:
The Arndale centre. All of it!
I agree. Also, the big long street down past the Arndale (that you join when you come out of Picadilly Station - don't know the name I'm afraid). It's where the HUGE Primark is, and follow it right down past Paperchase (heaven!!!), turn left and there's Gap and some higher end of the market shops.
Also, if you turn right just before Debenhams (I think) and walk to the corner you'll find Affleck's Palace - there's a funny saxophone type sculpture opposite. It's a studenty type place, but great for gifts and vintagey clothes. If you turn right after that, at the end of the road there's a big long shopping street running parallel. It has some quirky shops, as well as a big Oxfam and Oxfam Originals.
Sorry I don't know street names, I just know each place by shop :p
I'm going later this week hopefully!!
