Gold shoes needed
I have scars on my legs so I have to wear tights all the time when I wear a skirt.
I want to wear a shot silk mauve/purple dress with gold metallic embroidery for Mr HF's 30th birthday party, and will be wearing 20 denier tights underneath, so I need gold shoes or slingbacks which cover the toes. Have seen lots of pairs of delicious gold sandals but no shoes except for a gold snakeskin pair in Dune that are just not me (though I bought the matching clutch bag! Yay!)
Anyone seen any anywhere? Or should I get a pair of satin slingbacks dyed? As the dress is shot silk, can you get a decent gold colour in satin, or would I have to match the colour of the dress? (In which case, a midway colour or a match to one of the colours of the shot silk?)

Oasis have some gorgeous cream shoes with gold strap detail, i think they were closed toe, i can't see them on the website but they were really luurvely!!

My friend has just annouced her engagement now the wedding isn't until next October but it is going to be a big deal at a country manor. I am rubbish at dressing up for big occasions so I've started looking now, plus hopefully I can work out what to wear so I can get it in the January sales. I need to wear a dress and hat. Hopefully I can get away with a flower creation instead of a full on hat as I can't wear them. Thinking teal or Jade dress with silver shoes and pashmina, also have small silver vintage beaded bag.
