    London Hotels
    Hello,
Myself and my OH are heading down to London next month for 3 nights, does anyone have any good recommendations of reasonable priced centrally located hotels?!
    Thank you
    Caz:)
    Answer:
I would try lastminute.com as they usually have some good deals, especially in their secret section (its where you don`t find out the name of the hotel until after you book). My best mate I got a fab deal last spring at a great
4* hotel in Mayfair, it worked out as 3 night for the same price as 1 at the normal rate.
Other than that you could try laterooms.co.uk or the new NH Kensington might have some good deals at the moment as they haven`t been open very long.
    Answer:
lastminute.com has some good 5* deals on but otherwise I highly recommend the Hoxton Hotel. Really REALLY reasonable rates and it is a gorgeous little hotel.
Otherwise I know the Great Eastern Hotel does really bargainous rates on a weekend although it can get a bit noisy if they have a wedding in.
    Answer:
You can get rooms in a Travelodge for £26 sometimes - worth looking on their website anyway.
They are quite basic, i.e. they don't have hairdryers and you have to pay for breakfast (which isn't worth the money) but they are clean and comfortable.

Thanks for the recommendation :) I was just going to post a thread looking for London hotel recs when I saw this one.
The Hoxton looks great and I can't believe the room rate  Is it really as good as they show on the website?!!

    Sticky Labels Etc
    Hey all,

I know this is a bit random... But i needed to have a bit of a Vent and i think this is an ideal subject.

Is it just me or does everyone hate the Sticky Labels shops but on the bottom of shoes?!! They do my head, you get a gorgeous pair of shoes and are sat there for hours trying to remove the label. Note- Sticky Stuff remover does not work!! lol

Also, when your out and about and you see people in perfectly nice shoes who do not remove the label... Arghhhh, silly little things that get your back up eh?

Sorry to sound a bit random but feel better for voicing my irritation. Does anybody else have things such as this that winds them up?

    Thanks

    Answer:
Indeed some shoe labels are excessively sticky and leaving them should not be considered an option. I find nail varnish remover an effective and cheap way of getting rid of them.
    Answer:
Sticky labels on the bottom of shoes, and indeed the sticky residue from any label, annoys the crap out of me, too.
Cooking oil is also good for getting off sticky residue.
The last pair of shoes I got from Topshop though had plasticky rather than papery stickers, iykwim, and the only way to get them off it seems is to pick, pick, pick. Nail varnish remover made no difference whatsoever, except for taking some of the colour off the sole. Gah.
    Answer:
    shock
I just noticed the label is still on my left foot
I did the right and then must have forgot the left
    what a fool :o
    Answer:
The best way to remove the labels is to heat it up with a hairdryer......it peels off really easily then.

  • Spending Diet

    NO.4. ask :
    Spending Diet
I am pledging myself to a Spending Diet until the end of May, because (a) I am broke and (b) I should enjoy the nice things I've got for now. Does anyone want to join me?
    Answer:
I will join your from Friday 11th May, I have to make a few purchases to get me by :o but then I'm with you!

I need to buy some boots which will cost £40.00, and possibly some denim shorts and some skinny jeans - which will total up to no more than £20.00 (goold old primarni)

After that my out-goings are all non-fashion based.

I have no income and dont know when I will have any so spending diet is probably needed round about now
    Answer:
 Me! I'm skint until the end of May anyway.
    Answer:
me too skint and is all own fault. No more clothes for me.

    Answer:
Theres not point at all in me joining these things, because i will fall at the first hurdle!
I dont have any debt or credit cards etc but i will litreally spend what i have on clothes and i always find a way to buy what i want(not illegaly or dodgy i must add!)
So time and time again i would be hopeless on a spending diet!
    but good luck girls!

  • Fridays warehouse orders, delivered yet?

    NO.5. ask :
    Fridays warehouse orders, delivered yet?
    Hi,

I made an order for quite alot on Friday from warehouse.

I assumed delivery (2 working days) would mean it would be here by probably tomorrow, as I thought the weekend and bank holiday Monday wouldnt count as working days.

However, on Sunday I recieved an e-mail to say my order had been dispatched?

It's not in the post room, I'm worried they tried to deliver it yesterday when the post room was shut and have gone away with the intention of posting it another day and not left any notification of this. (I move out on Friday!)

Has anyone recieved their warehouse order they placed on Friday yet or am I panicking over nothing? :o
    Answer:
I think Warehouse deliver using the Home delivery network, on the dispatch email, they may have an Order Tracking facility?? (a delivery code that you use to track your order on the couriers website. Orders from Topshop/miss selfridge/principles do this, and they are from the same company as Warehouse)

It should arrive, either today or tomorrow but probably not through the post, but via HDN.:)
    Answer:
It gave me my order number and a website which took me to the courier they use, but it wont let me track my order, I dont have any code or anything to put in  Hmmm!

I just hope it turns up

    Thansk Laura :D
    Answer:
It's normally a long number, about 11 digits.

If it was dispatched sunday, then I reckon you should have you stuff by this afternoon/tomorrow.

    What did you get:D ?!
    Answer:
With warehouse you used the order number and your postcode to track on the delivery tracking website.
