miu miu sizing
1 Attachment(s) hello all,
i am rather in love with some miu miu silver/snakeskin peeptoe platform shoes (from a couple of seasons ago i think) that I've seen on ebay.
Does anyone know if miu miu shoes come up true to size?
The ones I've seen are a 3... and I'm mostly a 4, sometimes 3 so am a bit hopeful...

Answer:
I've only got two pairs so not an expert but both pairs (one sandal, one closed toe) have come up 1/2 size larger than my usual .. i.e. I had to buy 37s instead of my regular 37.5s
Answer:
I would say the same, they seem to run just a little bit large.
Answer:
ooooh pretty! they do half sizes so you might be best off with a 36.5. i find them quite true to size if slightly big, but they certainly aren't as big as prada. i'm between a 5 and a 6 most of the time and i get a 38.5 in miu miu. you could probably fit a 3, i have a pair of snakeskin miu mius that were on the tight side at first but now they're perfect.
Answer:
Thanks all! Ooh, this is sounding quite hopeful. It would be very sad if I bought them and they didn't fit though... hmmmm. Will have a hunt for 36.5 as well.
They are pretty aren't they. and super shiny too. I've also seen them in a court-style version without the ankle-strap.
Waistcoat madness!
NO.2. ask :
Waistcoat madness!
Have I gone completely mad, I wonder?
Only I could go out for a supervisor meeting and come home by way of my favourite charity shops, somehow acquiring a (admittedly fab) pair of Moto jeans and four (yes, FOUR) waistcoats on the way!! :o The waistcoats were very cheap, otherwise I wouldn't have got four.....
The waistcoats are old stock from an 'authentic Indian clothes shop' (according to the SA) and so are very 'boho/ethnicy' (hate the word, but you know what I mean), not like the much more urban tailored ones that have been on the high street. Potential biiiiig fashion faux, I know - please don't all run away screaming!
Two of them are black - one's velvety and very long and slouchy and (IMHO!) looks fabulous belted over skinny jeans, the other's patchwork (plain and delicately patterned pieces) and looks well cool with tailored shorts or over a little dress! The others are the most gorgeous muted jewel colours (also velvet) - one short, one long and patchworked. I think they both look fab with plain tees, jeans and metallic accessories, but the heat may have fried my brain....
Would post pics but (a) I think you'd all laugh at them and my illusions would be shattered :p and (b) my camera's thrown another hissy fit and isn't working.

When it's working, post pics - promise I won't laugh!!
Answer:
Go on, borrow a camera and post pics!
The long one sounds fab, and I love the idea of 'muted jewel colours'. Well done on the bargs anyway :)
Answer:
I think some people on here have worn the quite successfully, so wouldn't say that you're completely crazy. ;) And if you decide that you don't really like them you can always sell them on Ebay as vintage come autumn. :D
They aren't personally my style, but I think that's cause they remind me of the 80s and how much I used to wear them then. I did the current Kate look then (skinny jeans/dangly necklace/waistcoats) and I don't think I can pull it off again and not too sure I want to. :) Of course I may completely change my mind once I've seen pics of them worn different ways, so you'll have to have a talk with the camera and get it working! :p
Answer:
D'oh, posted without completing my post!
I was going to ask whether the following outfit sounds totally mad and unsuitable as well. I'm going to an informal work do with mr g_k later this week, and I was wondering about wearing one of the jewel-coloured waistcoats :o I'd probably wear the long patchworked one belted and slouchy with jeans, over a plain tee (cream or tan) with metallic heels (probably gold) and lots of my new fabulous green eyeliner.
Does that sound totally insane, or could it work?
ETA: Ooops, didn't see your posts. I'll talk sternly to the camera and see if I can persuade it to take piccies so you can all have a good giggle!

So what IS in fashion?
Hi there.
I have recently had a baby, and so have been wearing maternity clothes for what seems like forever (even wearing some bits now)!
Anyway, I'd like to get some new items of clothing etc. to update my look - or even see what I already have to do this.
So who can tell me what the latest looks are? - it would help if they were easy ideas seeing as my hands are a bit full with a newborn... however... I do somehow find the time to get myself looking a bit respectable as well ;)
I always read the Fashion forum but hardly write, so I'm expecting some nice suggestions! Thanks guys

For a quick look try this site it gives you a great summary. :)
Answer:
Trends for this season are
Beatnik - think stripey things and baker boy caps
Victorian - Lace up boots and frilly shirts
I think it would be a good idea to get some nice basics like bootcut jeans, plain t shirts, pointy boots and maybe a nice blazer and some good but cheap accessories to perk things up.
Maybe buy the odd trend piece like a stripey top, cool hat and possibly a victorian style shirt.

What do u wear skirts with in winter? - shoe tights wise
NO.5. ask :
What do u wear skirts with in winter? - shoe tights wise
Wat do u wear ur skirts with in winter? I tend to just wear knee high boots with them getting bored of this look. Does anyone wear printed tights flats with their skirts? Or short boots?
Answer:
Hi!
I usually wear either opaques if the outfit is busy enough or bright coloured, or patterned/crochet yet discreet tights/stockings if the outfit is quite plain.
I love wearing boots - opaques and stylish skirts as well as wearing funky (yet non tacky!) tights/stockings!
:)
Answer:
Yes, sometime wear interesting tights (though not too fussy) and flats with certain skirts in the winter, I think it's a really good look. A lot of it does depend on the skirt I think though, a lot of skirts are just so much better complemented by boots than shoes, IMO.
Answer:
Yep! I always find boots look much better with pencil skirts/fitted a-lines and shoes with pleated/round skirts :)
Answer:
Not much to add, but I LOVE black wool tights with plain black flats...I think you could even wear a relatively short skirt like that as long as you covered up on top.
I think it looks so chic and elegant.
