Pewter round toe shoes with ribbon tie - anyone seen these?
I saw a girl in them yesterday and love love loved them but didn't ask where they were from - why I don't know.
Basically they were ballet flats but with a slinback and a ribbon tie around the ankle, in pewter leather. I'd guess they were Office or Topshop, judging from the slightly offbeat style and the rest of her outfit, but I haven't seen them in store. Anyone?

Yep I tried these on in Miss Selfridge the other day. Not very soft leather though so they didn't feel like they'd be comfy.

Just back from two days in Paris, where I took my comfiest flip-flops to see me through two days' walking around. They totally killed my feet, to the point that they removed several layers of skin on the top where the straps rubbed, caused a huge blister between my toes (both feet) and gave me blisters on the soles of my feet. And these were the same flip-flops I've been wearing faithfully all summer!
The problem is that I'm off to New York next month for a week and will be doing even more walking around there than I did in Paris, and I have no idea what footwear to take that won't just kill my feet. I could wear trainers, I guess, but they're just not very stylish. Any ideas for something super comfy that will see me through five days' walking, but also will still look nice with an assortment of jeans, linen trousers and the occasional skirt? My feet feel like they've been through a cheese grater :(

If your budget can stretch to it I'd invest in some cute Campers, they'll last much longer than ballet pumps or flip flops. I hear they're a bitch to wear in though so if you decide to go for them do it in advance!

I bought these Skechers and they are sooooo comfy. They do some other 'pump' type shoes too which might be quite good for pounding the strets of New York

I've just bought these - however, have not walked around in them yet but they are v.comfy!!
I've also got some chunky suede-effect slip ons which I got from Dottie P's a long time ago - not sure if they still have them - they come in beige and black and are £20 - they're V comfy, but probably won't go that well with skirts...
