Glass beads
Hello
Am on a quest to get hold of some glass beads- preferably green or failing that quite a neutral colour so i can wear them with many colours (have some in black which never look quite right unless they are accessorizing funeral wear).
Saw some in oasis aaaages ago and wisely(!) decided to go back for them another time (what is wrong with me?? when does that ever work?!). They, of course, no longer exist and i have now become obsessed with finding an alternative. Anyone seen any elsewhere?
Any ideas would be much appreciated x
Answer:
Have you tried E-bay?
Answer:
Hi Bittersweet
I got some really nice ones from DP recently - I'm wearing the today and several people have said they really like them.
They are various browney, purpley shades with wire things twisted round to keep them in place. One mid-length strand of large beads.

Thank you for your suggestions
Dorothy Perkins is one of the few shops in the excuse for a town that i work in so i shall have to try there.
Ebay is also a good idea, although i am an instant gratification kind of person- the idea of monitoring something for some weeks on end and possibly not even ending up with it, plus having to wait for it to be posted to me if i do win it does not entirely agree with me!

Eye shade / mask
NO.2. ask :
Eye shade / mask
Does anyone know where I can get a cute one of those eye shade things? A silk one would be nice.
I thought maybe figleaves would have one but a search on their website just came up with random underwear...

Answer:
HM (although beware the snoopy motif)
Or Ann Summers!

Answer:
you could try La Senza
Answer:
Holisitic Silk do one but it's filled with lavender and it's around £30.
Their website is www.holisticsilk.co.uk (I think!)
You can also get them in Harvey Nichols.
Answer:
thanks for the suggestions! I'm pretty sure I've seen them in La Senza but they're not on the webiste. I though I'd better not look on the Ann Summers website at work
I've found a really cute one on figleaves (turns out they did have them in the end) .
I like the 'Sleeping Beauty' one but would feel a bit vain buying that for myself so I think I'd better get the 'Do not disturb' one...

The Perfect Cape/jacket
NO.3. ask :
The Perfect Cape/jacket
For anybody who also wanted one, and like myself desperately trying to find a descent one, I have just purchased the peeeeeeeerfect black wool cape/jacket from HM. Bit pricey for them at £79.99  but still a bargain and it looks really really good! HM oxford circus - get down there as they're selling out fast! :chores2:
(they also have one which isn't waffle textured for £69.99)
Answer:
I saw this in the Covent Garden store on the weekend and it's gorgeous, you lucky thing!
Just a bit out of my price range though. :(

Sorry, totally O/T mitchey!
Wrap dresses
NO.4. ask :
Wrap dresses
Okay, I know we're moving into Autumn now but I would still like to ask a question about wrap dresses as I never managed to find one.
Are there/were there any wrap dresses out there that are designed to be worn on their own, or are they all supposed to be worn with another top underneath? It's just that all the ones I've tried on have been far too low at the neck and expose half of my bra. I'm 5ft 1 and have tried a few petite-length dresses but the same problem still happens.
I really liked the style of the dresses, but I don't like dressing in lots of layers for some reason.
Answer:
I have had the same problem, being small and having small boobs. They are supposed to be worn on their own, but I think if you're small and haven't got much of a bust you may have to use another layer.
The only way I've found a dress to fit was to buy a size 6 dress in Topshop (and I am really not a size six!) but it does fit, albeit seeming very low cut. Balconette bras can help with this issue!
Answer:
But I don't have small boobs - I'm a size 30FF!
Answer:
Oh crikey, well no wonder you have trouble with getting them to fit, then. Really not sure what to advise - maybe you need one in a 'petite' fitting and it wont be cut so low?
Answer:
I find this too! In fact I find it with any wrap style top as well. I was starting to think I was some kind of high chested freak! I normally try and get round it with a pretty underwear vest so I can retain some modesty and not look too frumpy with lots of layers on. It's very annoying though!
Long jeans in NYC?
NO.5. ask :
Long jeans in NYC?
Hi there,
This is my first post here, although I do lurk occasionally :o
I'm off to New York in November :yay: and am after some great jeans, maybe 7FAMK or something similar. Does anyone know what are the cheapest places in NY to get good jeans from?
Also I'm 5'11 and always wear heels so need at least a 35 inch leg if not longer, which brands do the longest leg lengths? Also do they do different lengths in the US compared to here?
Thanks for all you help. x
Answer:
Not sure about places, but the 7FAMK bootcuts come in an extra length which I think are 35" or longer. Also, Notify jeans are mostly 35" I think

Answer:
I went to Bloomingdales to get mine but someone told me that Macy's was cheaper. Have a great time :)
Answer:
Those Notify ones look great :) I particularly like the idea of the different bum sizes, although I fear I may be a C cup :o
Thanks!
Answer:
There's a discount designer department store called Century 21 which is pretty good as well. Kinda like a better version of TK Maxx :)
