Perfect Jeans!
I apologise if this thread has been done before - i did have a look but couldnt see it....
Anyway - I want to know from you heregers - which brand of jeans is the best?
I own two pairs of levis 529's and although I like them they loose their shape really quickly after putting them on...and no one likes a saggy arse!
My girlfriend (who is a jeansaholic) recommended French Connection jeans which I bought last night - and they look amazing!- anyone else got a pair of these? does the arse eventually sag?
she also recommended Mix Sixty 'Tommy' jeans - anyone else got a pair of these? what do you think of them?
I like jeans that a quite figure-hugging (without being spray-on) and that make my stumpy legs look like Giselle's! I get frustrated when I buy seemingly perfect jeans that look great on in the shop and then in a months time they are all saggy and shapeless!
Any ideas?
Thanks heregers!
Answer:
If you are in London get to Start in Rivington Street, Shoreditch and they will fix you up with jeans your perfect jeans. They will cost a lot of money but they will be worth every penny. They have such an amazing eye for what will make the most of your figure, I looked like I'd instantally lost half a stone when they put me in Paper, Denim and Cloth jeans, the best £160 I've every spent on clothes.
Answer:
Yeh Ive got a pair of **** jeans, they are drain-pipes and I dont wear them as much as I used to, and yes the arse does sag!
I found they dont give much elsewere, even after washes they will eventually get smaller (and as Ive been getting bigger) they are sitting in my wardrobe. I dont think i would buy more from them
Im currently loving Gap jeans, albeit you might have to search for size, they really are durable.
Another fav is from Mango, they do some nice boot-leg cuts.
Im hoping to invest in a pair of Miss Sixty's for the Autum aswell
Answer:
Gap Diesel are best for me... although I haven't bought any jeans for a while... except I bought one great pair from Arden B in the states... I'd never heard of them before... my US mate says they're a bit like warehouse over here, but I must investigate more of these as the cut and fit is fantastic.
Answer:
I second the Start recommendation - and whole heartedly agree with the paper, denim, cloth being the best £175 I ever spent.
For 3 full days, every now and then through out the day, regardless of who I was with and what we were talking about, I would randomly utter "one.hundred.and.seventy.five.pounds" in disbelief  ... but I went halves with Mr Gi as it was part of my birthday present a couple of months back, and he agrees - they are the best fitting jeans: we both love them!:yay:
Dorothy skinny fit jeans
NO.2. ask :
Dorothy skinny fit jeans
I heard a few of your talk about grey skinny fit jeans from dorothy perkins.
I've just spotted these on the site
They say they are black faded and i'm very interested as i'm not really happy with the hm pure black ones i bought a couple of weeks back.
Is the sizing pretty true/generous like most dorothy perkins jeans? Are they more flattering than the topshop ones i can't get round my butt? Just wanted to check before i order :)
Cheer ladies!
Answer:
Ooh they're nice! I haven't tried those but DP is usually pretty generous isn't it? They'd look great in your new boots.
Answer:
You are on my wave length bella;) :p
Are HM pretty good with returns, god knows how i'm gonna get into town for a refund, i might be slighly over the 28 days:o Paid by card too otherwise i would have got my mum to do it.
Answer:
I saw these in the window a while back and thought they looked great. But when I went in store to try them on I saw they have back pockets with flaps (a bit like Lee Leolas?). This could possibly have been flattering on someone really really skinny with a small behind. I think I have quite an 'ample rear' for my dress size though so I didn't like them on me.
Answer:
Can you not get your Mum to do your signature and take them back for you (or even better if it's chip and pin?) I've done that loads of times, I've always found HM to be fine with refunds.
Suprise Parcel
NO.3. ask :
Suprise Parcel
I ordered some boots from the Office sale on the 28th July. I didn't get a confirmation email from them and as they had disappeared from the website I assumed they were out of stock and promptly forgot about them.
The postman has just knocked on the door and suprise suprise my boots have arrived- 4 weeks later!
And possibly the best news is... no money seems to have been taken out of my bank account.
:yay: :yay:
Do I have a pair of free boots? :)
... or is my bank just being slow and will the money come out of my account in the next few days:(
Answer:
They don't charge til they are dispatched so they 'may' have taken the money, but still:yay: Do they fit, are you pleased?
Answer:
I have been so excited that I have actually forgotten to try them on :o
Off to try on and take photos now... and pray to the God of Bank Accounts for free boots!
Answer:
I've often received stuff and then it's gone on my credit card the next day but fingers crossed! Pics please!
Answer:
Love them love them love them!!
They actually fit over my calves and make them look lovely and skinny. Plus the heels make a great noise on my tile floor... will be spending the rest of the morning stomping round in the methinks.
Help needed - am in love with an unsuitable here

Help needed - am in love with an unsuitable here
Hi guys
I was casually strolling past Russell and Bromley yesterday when I was lured closer to the window by an utterly beautiful here -chocolate-coloured crocodile leather, similar style to a Mulberry one that everyone loved a few months back - quite plain and simple, with a flap over the top, longish shopper handles and a little brass closure.
Unfortunately it is 165 of your English pounds and at the moment I have approximately 3. I spent all last night telling myself that ti would be an investment - I'd get so much wear out of it, it'd never date, get better with age etc - that I nearly convinced myself, but then I made the mistake of telling my mother about it and she nearly fell off her chair when she heard the price ("you don't get that at Marks and Spencers etc etc")
I mean, compared ot the amount of money I could be spending on a here, it's not much, really, but when you consider the fairly enormous student loan that I am currently paying off, and will be paying for the next gzillion years, it doesn't seem like a particularly sensible buy.
So what I'm looking for here from you guys is either:
"buy it - it'll be a fantastic investment and you'll NEVER regret it, in fact it'll earn you money and enrich your life beyond your wildest dreams (especially considering you've just got a new job - it's a reward)"
"how strange, I saw the exact same bag yesterday for £10 - here are the stockists details for your area"
"are you mad? You don't need another here and you can't afford it - 'insert sensible comment that really does convince me that I don't need it' here"
Any thoughts? *cries - missing bag*
Answer:
Update:
It's the Mulberry Bayswater that it's a bit like - unfortunately Russell and Bromley online don't seem to have pictures of all their full range of bags....that would be ridiculous, obviously
Answer:
Buy it, it will love just as much as you love it :D :D :D
I really think you're in the wrong place for sensible save your money, get an ISA type advice here L-G.
Answer:
I have an absolutely huge student loan that I've just started paying off too. Doesn't stop me from spending half my monthly wages on clothes though :D
It's all about budgeting - I'm saving up for a Mulberry Joni (not the full price, I'm lucky enough to get discount, but it's still enough to buy a small country), which means that I am currently forgoing my gym membership to save £30 a month!
Et voila, you have bag. ;)
xx
Answer:
As if anyone here will tell you NOT to get it, d'oh!
It sounds like a classic though, I think that's the one I saw in a mag and I've been eyeballing it also. I think it would last forever and is much cheaper than it could be so it's a saving really!
Anyone still looking for......
NO.5. ask :
Anyone still looking for......
...a tan leather bomber jacket?
If so - how about this?
http://www.asos.com/product.asp?sku=DFCJA1080
Just spotted it. Quality may not be fantastic but at that price it looks OK to me.
(Unfortunately I am still trying to find a black one but havent been very successful yet! :( )
Answer:
Dont really like these as they remind of me of Top Gun for some reason, but they still have them in Zara too should anyone be interested...:)
Answer:
New Look have some almost identical ones to those in at the mo for £50!! Quite tempted myself but don't know if to just stick to my chocolate brown bomber in case the tan ones appear everwhere!! I do like it in tan though...........................
Answer:
Im shocked!
I bought a dark brown-chocolate jacket last year for winter, are they still going to be around this year!?
It was from Warehouse, originally £110, but got it for £45
Fantastic I can still wear it! :yay:
Answer:
I ordered the Topshop version yesterday, but as the ASOS one is half the price so I wish I'd seen that one first!
