Miserable today, please cheer me up!
So O/T I know, but I am in a miserable mood today and need some cheering up!
Decided I don't like my new job as it's totally boring and just doesn't give me any motivation to get up in the mornings! So I need to start thinking about what i really want to do and look elsewhere!:( Really can't be bothered to do this at this precise moment though, so I would like you all to post pretty pictures of inspiration/clothes that I can buy online to cheer myself up!
Thank you please x:p
P.s - I have also been eating LOADS lately at work because i'm so bored so just think about food all the time and stuff my face, therefore not fitting nicely in my clothes!
Grumble grumble....
Answer:
tip to get through days in horrible job:- think of it as a means to an end, i.e. it will allow you to go shopping at the weekend. You might not like it, and you might not be motivated, but it's not forever and unless you're actually in tears at the thoughts of going in, remember that there are always worse jobs out there, and this one will do you till you find something better ;)
how about looking at all the nice clothes and household stuff on monsoon online and writing up a list of stuff you can order once their sale starts?

Hello you!!
I don't find my current job at all stimulating and usually I love what I do so I really sympathise. Like you I don't like coming in and I've been eating crap in the afternoons just to kill time. In fact I have had to ban myself from eating cakes and biscuits Monday - Friday until my holiday!!!
So I need to find you some clothing inspiration.................
See you in a bit!

NO.2. ask :
Mens Uggs
My local TK Maxx (Newbury) had a few pairs of short mens size Uggs on Saturday. Those of you who don't mind your bloke looking like an Australian simpleton might be interested :D

I love my Uggs, but I don't think they look 'right' on a man!!
Answer:

Cute on girls - :nono: for men
Answer:
A guy I used to live with's g/f bought some Uggs back from Australia for him. He wore them around the house as slippers in winter. Depends how they're worn really, I thought they looked ok on this guy under his jeans.
Answer:

Suit but with funky details? Even if it is an ad agency I think most people still expect you to wear something pretty smart for interviews but you can let your style come out through an interesting bag or shoes.
Answer:
yeah I would say a nicely fitted suit with a funky top underneath and coolshoes. Interviewers really take into account if some one has made an effort to look smart no matter what the position and a suit is always best really :) good luck to her, hope she gets it!:)
Answer:
I would agree, suit, little make-up, simple hair and a nice colourful here! :D
Advice for paris trip please
NO.5. ask :
Advice for paris trip please
Off to Paris for long weekend with my new husband!
Anyway we're going to try and take one holdall between us hand luggage to avoid checking stuff in.
We leave early Saturday morning, and return late Monday evening. Just planning on sightseeing-mainly hanging out in the parks if the weather's decent. Have checked the forecast and it's pretty varied, unfortunately.
Would love suggestions on what to pack-haven't even begun to think of what I might need yet....
Answer:
-1 pair of jeans or city/shorts or gauchos for strolling around during day (can be worn with funky summer tops)
-Funky tops (if possible cotton or linen as Paris is quite warm during summer)
-Confortable shoes/flip flops for day wear
-Warm cardi for evenings
-1 or 2 smartish outfits for evening wear (going out for dinner, dancing, cabaret, opera, whatever you are into!)
-1 pair of nice heels to be worn with said smartish outfits
-sunglasses
-2 bags (one for day, one for evenings)
Dont bring too many things along as you are bound to be shopping anyway!!!
;) have a good time! (is this your 1st time in Paris?)
Answer:
Hi,
We went to Paris in January, so it was COLD.
Being my impractical self, I'd not really brought any comfy shoes, but I WISH I had.
First of all we had to Q for the Eifel tower for 2 hours, so prepare for that (and that was out of season...)
Then we did so much walking everywhere, and the main thing to bring would be flat, comfy shoes.
I wanted to look totally stylish, so brought lots of stylish items, but TBH paris is a grey and very unfashinable city, and everyone was staring at me, I felt so over dressed.
Everrone seems to be wearing jeans, trainers, grey clothes rucksacks.
I'd say bring 1 or 2 pair of jeans, 1 pair of trainers (or flats), 2 daytime tops, and 1 or 2 evening tops, that will look nice with the jeans. ! Shrug or cardigan or pashmina.
One pair of evening shoes, that you can wear with said outfits.
I took one versatile here, that was big enough for camera but also fine for taking to a restarant in the evenings.
I also took a pashmina, and used it all the time, as scarf during the day, and as a wrap in the evenings.
I'd say you don't have to bring a lot, as long as you're comfy...
Answer:
Thanks for ideas-I can start making a list now!
We've been to Paris a couple of times before, but returning coz we love it so much, and have only ever been in February!
Thanks for reminding me that everyone's quite casual-I remember expecting it to be glam everywhere I went, and it really wasn't!
Answer:
Definately go for casual.
Unfortunately, it's raining here at the mo (and I'm in a vest and cropped cardi, great thinking this morning...) and think it's going to be varied over the weekend end like you say. It's quite warm, just a bit grey, but because it's August it's ver quiet, so you shouldn't have too much trouble on the métro or anything.
