Has anyone seen these in the flesh?
I'm after a flattering knitted/jumper dress. I have just spotted these on the oasis site and would love to know what people think of them if they've seen them in the flesh
I really like the look of the first one after seeing it it the attached piccie.
So has anyone seen these about?
Thanks from a CiC who's banned from shopping but planning for a few weeks time :D
Answer:
I think they would look better over jeans or trousers than as a dress, but then that's only my opinion.
Answer:
I'd wear them belted with opaques and my buckle boots.
Just wanted to know if they were nice in the flesh before i get my hopes up!:o
Answer:
That does sound nice, and if I was tall enough and had nice enough legs I probably would too :p
I haven't seen them in the flesh (so tell me to shut-up :p ), but although I prefer the top one, the bottom of it looks baggy already on the right hand side, and I would be worried that once you washed it, it might get worse.
So probably someone who HAS seen it in the flesh is the best person to answer, so I'll slink off...
Answer:
:p
It does look baggy doesn't it? I thought it might help being a line as i don't exactly have the thinnest thighs (unfortunately i don't look like my doll :D:lol: ) Luckily i'm tall so hopefully i can pull if off - if it's any good of course! :)

Well last Thursday I went and enrolled at night school, I am going to be doing a dressmaking course at my local college.
I can't wait and I am just hoping it gives me the skills to make things that I like and have the picture in my head, but nothing in the shops.
I can't wait!!!

Answer:
May I place an order for this Marc Jacobs dress design I have my eye on then??? ;)
Well done!!! Good on you! ;) :)
Answer:
I did a dressmaking course at nightschool years ago, which is where I learnt to sew properly.Well worth it!
Answer:
I wish they had something like this local to me, i'd love to learn!
Let us know how you get on!
Answer:
I did a 12 week dressmaking course a couple of years ago, while it was very useful and a little confidence building I wouldn't mislead anyone into thinking you'll be able to make/design all sorts of fabulous things.
An evening dressmaking course is to teach/improve basic skills knowledge of sewing... but it is a good stepping stone if you want to go further like doing a years city guilds or something.
I was supposed to enrol at chelmsford college the september after I finished my night course and never got round to it... I hope to do so one of these days.

TR Joey Cords
NO.4. ask :
TR Joey Cords
Peacocks have some very passible Joey look-a-like cords in brown for £10, sadly they were too short for me. I'm thinking of selling my legs on eBay and buy some shorter ones.
Answer:
Cool, I'll swop you for my stumpy pins if you like! ;)
£10, bargain! Peacocks is definatley on the up lately, I've seen some cute stuff in there in the past month or so. :)
Answer:
I will have to check Peacocks out-I need a new pair of brown cords.
