O/T - The White Company
Well...it's sort of fashion. Looking for a quick answer...
I've found some nice bedding on their website in pure cotton percale:
2 king duvet covers
2 fitted sheets
4 oxford pillowcases
All for £163.50 in the sale. Is this good? I love their stuff, but not sure about the price. If it's worth it then I'll happily spend it. It's the Self Stripe stuff.
Answer:
IMHO, I think it's okay. I paid about £100 just for one complete set of cotton percale sheets from Debenhams (even with a markdown) but actually found some nicer ones in Morleys Brixton for quarter of the price.
We only keep two pairs in the house (one in the wash and one on the bed). If you already have spares for all your bedding then I'd say it's just going to take up room in your airing cupboard (or wherever you store your bedding) and therefore would be money you could be spending on other things - like clothes!
:)
Answer:
not bad! i have the self stripe stuff too :D
Answer:
Well, I'm biased because I like sleeping on good sheets but I'd say go for it. I'm tempted to order some myself :D
Answer:
White company linen is wonderful quality. You won't be dissapointed I promise. All my bedlinen comes from there and it washes beautifully.
Orlaith from BB - Bikini
NO.2. ask :
Orlaith from BB - Bikini
If there are any Big Brother addicts in fashion - has anyone seen the bikini bottoms Orlaith was wearing last night in the shops ?
They were tie sides but with thicker wider ties if that makes sense !
Many thanks,
BG X
Answer:
Don't know but I thought it was nice. The black one right? Liked the halter top with the thicker straps.
Maybe someone will know if we bump this up x
Answer:
I don't know but my god that girl irritates me.
I'm all for a bit of nudity, but she ALWAYS has her ridiculous boobs out.
She can't be a proper model if she needs to do that to guarantee work when she leaves the house (hopefully VERY soon).

Leather blazers?
NO.3. ask :
Leather blazers?
I have just figured out I need a nice jacket for summer/spring/Autumn, for going out (can't wear my denim jacket with jeans and all my other coats are long or puffa jackets. On Saturday night I took a wrap (lucky to have got it home in one piece, but that's a whole other post).
I have found this jacket: from La REdoute, which I like (£145).
Anyone seen other nice leather jackets or something similar?
I am not a biker jacket kind of girl (more preppy and classic shapes).
I am going into the big smoke (London) on FRiday so can hit Selfridges etc if need be.
Thanks baggers !!!
Answer:
I have two leather blazers from New Look - one tan and one khaki. Both are that waxed look leather and they are traditional blazer types - two button, single breasted and fitted. They are fantastic value at 50 quid each. They still have them in black and chocolate and even I think purple and olive green.
I can highly recommend them.
Answer:
OOOH Little Annie, that sounds fab! I will look in the big New Look store (assuming it's the one near Selfridges) on Friday, as I can always return my La Redoute one.
Thanks so much!!!
Minky
Answer:
Oh and Zara have them in black - saw them this weekend too but dont know the price.
The New Look store is massive near Selfridges but has awful lighting - watch your eyes!!
Answer:
Hiya, just seen a nice one on E-bay..
Good alternative to the new look ones, and cheaper too...

Black white striped tops!
For all you girlies looking for them . . .
Just got a great 3/4 length sleeved short dress/long top (!?) from TS Selfrides concession). Not tried it on yet but I like it!
Answer:

I looked in Birmingham TS the other week and there was nothing stripey apart from one top  All the magazines that show stripey tops tend to come from Topshop but i couldn't find buggar all!
Wish i had looked in Selfridges TS now:rolleyes:

Answer:
Bought a similar kind of thing in Oasis at the weekend. V-neck, hip length, three quarter length sleeves.

Interview outfit?
NO.5. ask :
Interview outfit?
Yes... it's one of those threads!
I've got an interview for a saturday job at River Island tomorrow (I only just got off the phone - it's all very short notice!) And I'm stuck with what to wear. I was thinking maybe a black wrap dress and a few accessories... I have nothing vaguely resembling a suit and thought that might be a bit over the top anyway.
Does that sound ok? I'm always scared of under dressing!
Answer:
You could wear a black wrap dress over black trousers, which I always think is more formal than the wrap dress itself. I think you'll be okay without a suit because it's a fashion shop, but whatever you wear, just make sure you are completely polished: hair, nails, make-up and accessories are all perfect. :)
Answer:
That's a good idea! Thanks.
Answer:
Sorry to open up an old thread but I just wanted to say that I got the job! Yay!
Answer:
well done! (bet youre looking forward to the discount!) :yay:
