Do you want an actual ballet pump or just a silver round-toed flat? Oasis have a "cracked" effect silver ballet pump style shoe for £25, Faith have that really cute shiny silver pump with the knot on the front... I have distressed effect with cut-out pattern ones from Top Shop which are all leather and fab.

London Fashion weekend - worth it?
I'm thinking of going this year but is it worth going to the Weekend part at the Natural History Museum?
When they say 'cheap' designer gear, how cheap are they talking? Is it say £25 for a top or £60?
And is there any catwalk shows going on?
Just interested as to whether to go, because I don't wanna get there and not be able to afford anything:lol:

However it's an ok day out, they have a beauty bit and a bar. There are no shows on though. I've also been to Fashion Week and that was really good, so that has probably ruined the Weekend for me!

Yeah, i see what you mean about new designers. Obviously, ideal situation I'd go to Fashion Week, but that's impossible unless you have contacts in the fashion industry, right?

I go and I enjoy it. I agree that the designer stuff is not necessarily cheap (unless you can fit into sample sizes or have big feet and can buy the shoes the models wore on the runway - size 7 Jimmy Choos stilettos normallay abut £230-£300 were going for £50 last time I went:eek: - I'm a 4.5 - 5 so no joy) but I like going just to shop and, expecially, to pick up unusual accessories. I have occasionally picked up some great bargains of known designers and have also picked up stuff by designers who subsequently did well and whose prices vastly increased. Its also fun as often the up-and-coming designers are manning the stalls and they are only too excited to tell you that Liberty has just bought this style or Matches etc etc
It does get very crowded and manic but IMO is worth a look !

Perhaps choose those wide-leg trousers (slightly fitted and smaller at the waist and wider from hip down) ;)

Currently wearing old, grey skinny jeans, black vest top and black lace victorian blouse over the top from UO, with grey pumps from TS. I also have my black cord puff sleeved double breasted jacket from Uth about 4 years ago. I am very much reflecting the weather today.
But this weekend will be in the ibiza sunshine (assuming the predicted rain on bbc doesn't happen :( ) and so be wearing bikinis, my sass and bide military dress for hed kandi, and my white shorts.miu miu wedges/grey vest top/beads etc for space :)
then back monday :(
