bulga bags?
does anyone know if there's anywhere in the UK that stocks bulga bags?
so far i've only found US sites (some of them do ship here) and there's no official site that i can find.
I'd quite like to see one in the flesh before i take the plunge! I want the medium one (the large one = sack IMHO, and Jessica Simpson has it ) in brown leather, and HOPEFULLY it will be a well-done-for-getting-a-job present for me, from me!
Answer:
1 Attachment(s) No, I;ve not seen anywhere in the UK :(
I've got Jessica's yellow one (is this the same one, below?) and I bought it from the US Testimo website with a 15% discount.
I still had to pay duty on it but the discount offset it.
Looks like there's still a discount if you look on Reesycakes
Answer:
yep, thats the one - but in choc brown...mmmm!
how much did the customs come out at, if you don't mind me asking?
also, i asked about these on another site and someone mentioned that the rain can stain or spoil the leather on these bags - have you found this to be a problem?
maybe they need to be treated with leather protectant...
Answer:
Hmm, I've only had mine since the end of May and I've only used it in bright sunshine since it's yellow, so I haven't had the rain problem yet.
The only thing I'm not that keen on is the way the bag fastens. If you use the drawstring to tighten the bag's neck, you know -puckering it up, then the loose cords with the tassles on are very long and look a bit odd dangling way down.
I usually leave mine undrawn so the tassles are in the right place (like in the pic above) but then the contents of your bag are very open to the air. There's no magnetic clasp or anything else to close it. I'd rather it had something like a clasp and the tassles were fixed and decorative only.
I can't remember how much the customs was at all. Somewhere in the 30-60 range I think. I do specifically remember that something else I ordered from there which was about $190 (one of the Santin Lerner kukui necklaces) slipped in entirely tax free so maybe I'm getting muddled up.
Putting together a wardrobe
NO.2. ask :
Putting together a wardrobe
I don't mean a wooden one I mean a clothes one;)
I think this is the first time that I've posted in Fashion so a big:wave: to you all!
Up until recently I have been building up my business and so have not had much money to spend on clothes. The trouble is that now I do have I've forgotten how to shop and put an outfit together. I've just done a quick infantry of my wardrobe and I know that I have no colour in it (nearly all black brown) and have lots of 'around the house' type of cothes but no 'want to go out shopping looking smart type' clothes.
I feel as if I'm starting at the beginning with my clothes again, can you offer me any help please!

Answer:
Get yourself a pile of fashion magazines (EVogue, Elle, InStyle) or have a look at fashion websites to get inspiration. Sticking around here for a while also helps :D
Answer:
Definitely recommend what Loony has said, this months (Sept) Elle is great and Marie Claire is supposed to be fab as well.
Then think about what colours suit you and put together a capsule wardrobe, search capsule wardrobe in the box and it will really help as someone asked a similar question last week.
Another thing that really helps lift a whole wardrobe (not literally I might add) is accessories, belts, scarfs, bangles, necklaces, bags etc even if your wardrobe is mainly black (which is very big this A/W) and brown, accessories can make all the difference.
Those two colours are very versatile both of them go with everything (apart from each other but nobody else agrees with me on that!) so you have a great base to start with.
Answer:
P.S. I look on www.shopbop.com on the A/W preview for inspiration as well.
Answer:
Hi Fruitcake
Im in EXACTLY the same position, talking about it in my other thread - perhaps we can learn together :yay:
The Three Essentials
NO.3. ask :
The Three Essentials
I think we all have those essentials in our wardrobes.
They're the ones we can pull out whenever we're having a bad day where nothing seems to fit or go together, or we just feel like going back to basics.
Mine are:
- Black racerback vest from Topshop. It's classic.
- Blue jeans from a random designer at TK Maxx - perfect on me no matter what size I feel!
- Black cropped cardigan from Gharani Strok at Debenhams. It's been beaten and battered, but still looks good dressed up or down.
What are your top three essential pieces of clothing?
Answer:
A white tee, a pair of jeans and a cashmere sweater.
Answer:

Painful shoes

Painful shoes
hi everyone, i bought a lovely pair of flat shoes from zara last week. Now after wearing them a few times the backs of the heels are digging in and have cut my heels up! i was wondering if anyone has any tips on how i can stop this? (other than wearing plasters on my heels!)
I cant really return them as they have been worn, should i just admit defeat?
Thanks xx :)
Answer:

boots of wool
NO.5. ask :
boots of wool
has anyone been to qube in the last fortnight and spotted the boots made out of wool? i can't find any pictures of them :( but if anyone's seen them, what do you think?
Answer:
do you mean boots a bit like this?
sorry thats macys not a british shop but its pointless me looking at british websites at the mo as its another year until i'm back over on holiday.
i'm not sure about them - pretty colours, but not sure how practical they'd be in the wet, and when it comes to boots, practicality is key for me.
