New Season Shopping

NO.1. Ask :
New Season Shopping
This is my first post so please be gentle!!
For once I actually have the funds for a nice little shopping spree but I can't decide where to start and I am desperate for some inspiration!
I'm looking to spend £200-300 and I don't mind whether I buy shoes, coats, tops etc etc, I just want some lovely new things for autumn and winter!!
What are your favourite things in the shops or online so far??
Answer:
Are you starting from scratch?
Big things this autumn/winter are....
Grey/Black
Victorian style shirts
Knee short will still be here, probably worn with opaque tights
Military
Pirate
Waistcoats
I'd start by getting a good pair of boot cut jeans to wear with pointy toed boots and a pair of drainpipes to tuck in to more casual boots.
I don't think you can go wrong with a blazer either....i've ordered a rather nice military inspired one here from Miss S...

There's plenty of nice boots at the mo in Topshop and New look to suit all tastes :)
A nice victorian shirt to be worn with jeans or knee shorts (maybe tweedy ones).
All i can think of at the mo (sorry i'm a bit scatty got the start of a migraine:rolleyes: ) Maybe you could post your height, colouring and dress size to help?
Answer:
A bag is one of most essential things this A/W. If you are going for a ladylike look a good quality leather strutured bag is a must. Loads in Vogue this month. Also in are pencil skirts, fitted jackets, in fabrics such as tweed and velvet. Victoriana is a popular theme also. Look for shirts in TS. Waistcoats are in this season, wear them fitted ontop of a shirt with a belt around the whole lot.
Trousers are in many a form this A/W. Either wear them wide in a thick material or skinny in denim.
Hats are a must, whether it be a bakerboy or a beret, you just have to have one. I already have my bakerboy. As are gloves, leather particulary.
Opaque tights are back in, team with a pencil skirt and courts.
Metallic will be sticking around for a while too. Gold especially. There are plenty of metallic bags on the highstreet.
As for jewellery, chunky wooden long necklaces can go with nearly everything, shirts, tees, waistcoats. **** and Mikey have a good selection.
Hope I've covered everything!
Answer:
That's great, thank you!
I am trying to shop with some sense of purpose this year, rather than my usual habit of going into a shopping frenzy, spending lots of money on lots of vastly different things and ending up looking very confused!
I'm 5'7" and a curvy 12-14, dark hair and eyes if that helps :)
Answer:
Another tip try and stick to a few colours then hopefully everything you buy should match :)

which one of you was in liberty buying shoes yesterday?
someone looking very much like she'd be a bagger was standing next to me and loony buying our pirate boots yesterday! i don't remember exactly what she was wearing, i think it was black/brown striped shorts, teal cardigan with silvery buttons and a top of some description underneath, and pointy flats (?). but i doubt any of us would forget seeing two nutters buying the same pair of boots  so who was it?
    Answer:
Nope def wasn't me but I thought I spotted one (a bagger that is) in Primark, Cardiff the other day too. Since I've been bagging and discovered the bargains to be had in Primark ( :thanks: btw ) I've followed the odd shopper in the belief that they are a bagger, checking out items in their basket/arms and seeing if I can identify anything that resembles a pattern from threads on here etc.I've had some very weird looks too, so, if anyone here has been followed by a woman filling her basket with cheap undies, a chocolate shrug and the £5 bronze bag in Primark, whilst surreptitiously eyeing you up and down, t'was me :o :detect: :loopy:
:o Ok, I'll get me coat and be off now
    Answer:
It'll be easy to tell once we've all got those here.com badges. ;)

    Answer:

    Huge favour to ask...!
I bought some snakeskin flat pumps from Zara last week which were really soft ad great to just shove on with my jeans, plus they were in the sale for £15 !!! However, they only had a 5 left, so I thought i'd be fine to fit into them as i usually can - but they were so tight that i had to take them back! I'm so gutted because they were just right! I've tried Notts and Birm stores but to no avail......so....i was just wondering if anybody happens to pass a Zara could they possibly nip in and see if they have them in a 6 and if so get them for me?? I will obviously pay for postage and pay you whatever they cost, plus i'll be eternally grateful!!!:o :)

    Answer:
How about a pencil skirt with a victorian inspired shirt with some long necklaces for v classy look. You can finish it off with a short fitted jacket and some velvet courts.
    Answer:
    I'd go black and gold.
Black knee shorts, some kind of black top, gold shoes and accessories :)
Or even black and silver! Very classy either way;)
