Does anyone else have an aversion to shoulder bags?
I've been thinking about this for a little while, as I have some brand new bags in my wardrobe that I've never used (I'm going to Ebay them when I pull my finger out!).
I was trying to work out why I've never used them and I think it's because they're shoulder bags and I never ever ever use shoulder bags. This might sound ridiculous but I find they make me look bulky! I'm not fat as such but they just seem to make me look wider than I am!
Do I sound mad?
Answer:
I've gone right off shoulder bags recently, although I find them more convenient, because I've noticed I raise one shoulder above the other when I'm carrying them. I always carry my bag on the same side too. So I've stopped carrying them because I think I might be damaging my back.
Answer:
Don't have an aversion to them, but find them a bit constricting at times, so don't normally carry them that often.
Answer:
I know what you mean, a friend of mine who is of ample proportions and is always immaculately turned out always uses clutch bags and tucks them neatly against her waist.
She says shoulder bags either hit her at her widest point or she just can't get them comfortably over her arm.
I don't think I have a preference myself. I don't use shoulder bags if I'm wearing a strappy top (don't want the shoulder strap to rub against my shoulder and make it sore) or something delicate that might get damaged or look overpowered by the proximity of a bag.
Answer:
i never use shoulder bags, always totes. when i was a teenager, i read somewhere that shoulder bags give you permanently uneven shoulders and destroy the fabric and line of jackets and coats. so i've stuck to that advice ever since. now have one arm several feet longer than the other  or sumfink:lol:
spending savings on winter wardrobe...

spending savings on winter wardrobe...
I neeeeeeeeeeed a new winter wardrobe, as I have very little to wear to work when it gets colder but I am very broke at the mo, so should I spend my savings and go out and buy some staples that can see me through? (I saved just under a grand for uni and then quit)
I don't know if it would be a really stupid thing to do or if it would be stupid to go without coz I'm too tight to dip into savings I can replace!
Your votes, please! :D
Answer:
I say if you've got some money, then spend some! Write a list of what you definitely need and a budget and stick to it, otherwise you might see loads of gorgeous stuff and blow the lot!
Trust me, I do this every year - say I need stuff then don't plan my money so I can afford it. And every year I feel drab and samey and wish I'd saved up and got some lovely new gear. So if I had even a couple of hundred spare I'd head straight to the shops! :p

Answer:
I agree, set yourself a budget but don't go overboard. Shop for key pieces which you can mix and match - also include accessories in your budget.
Answer:
One thing you could do to save a bit of cash is to go and buy some lovely booties in the sales now.
I've bought 2 pairs - nice suede ones with fur trim from Faith (£55 reduced to £20) and brown leather strappy ones from Dolcis (£65 from £35).
Have a look and see what styles are going to be in for A/W and then pick out what you like. A lot of the styles don't really change that much from year to year - apart from the very high fashion ones like pirate boots.
It is still August though so no reason why you have to buy an entire winter wardrobe now. But if you start buying a few things now it will spread the cost a bit.
In some ways it might be better to get a 0% credit card (e.g. egg, Virgin and many more) for your purchases and aim to pay back over 6 months before you hav to start paying interest. That way you don't have to touch your savings.

Answer:
I'd keep the money. No question.
I know you can buy classics that can last you a decade and will hold you in good stead and if you felt could spare a couple of hundred to buy one really carefully thought out piece - say a great quality winter coat or good non-fashiony pair of boots then maybe, just maybe, you could convince me!
But if you just go down the high street and blow it all on the usual cheap crap stuff that just happens to catch your eye without any thought or planning - then that that would be a really daft thing to do with your savings.
When the money's gone you'll look at the tired looking rubbish you bought, wonder where your money's gone, still have nothing decent to wear and you'll feel discontented and want to buy more things to make your wardrobe better - but you won't have any more money because it's gone.
Millions of women get trapped in this mad cycle, spend all their precious free time shopping and just throw away all the money they earn - think how much worse would it be if it was all your savings?
Unless you know you can trust yourself not to do this and have the discipline to really work out what you need and resist everything else then don't do it!

well really its what pattern should I choose its not those exact bags.
Answer:
i'd go with the classic monogram, the limited editions are always easy to date and the only one i ever liked was the cherry blossom anyway. but at least 99.9% of lv on ebay is fake so i wouldn't buy from there. the first one i'm pretty sure is fake and the second one i'm 100% is.
Answer:
Are you serious?
If you are, I would say without cherries.
Answer:
no im not acutaly going to bid on those bags since yeah ebay = fake lol
quickest place I could think of to find pics.
and yeah I thought the cherry was quirky but then again like annanas said the classic wont ever date.
