Hey Girls
i need some advice - yes yet again
I'm one of those girls that lives in trousers as i dont like my legs (i've heard one too many about how skinny they are from the knee down:( )
im 5"3ish and i have an hourglass figure, (i think) im a size 8 so im quite skinny, but i just dont know what kind of skirt to buy, from what i have garthered from here gypsy skirts are a no no. but i dont know what other style is in fashion and would look good on me. any ideas?

I am rubbish when it comes to skirts but maybe try something like these from warehouse....

I'm not too much of a skirt person either, but I really like the russian doll shape ones (knee-ish length, bit sticky-out but fitted over hips), but they're a bit shorter, so I spose not good if you don't like the bottom of your legs.
there are some really lovely patterns around at the moment too.
I just tried to put a link in for you for some pretty ones from Topshop, but it's all Flash, so won't work. But if you go onto the site and search skirts, there are some pretty mid-length ones that are a bit more flattering (pink layered cheesecloth one is v cute!)

Ok, I'm sorry about the o/t thread, but just wanted to share my excitement:yay:
Yesterday I came home from the gym, and in our bedroom was a beautiful silver box with hearts on, and Mr Cheeks said it was for me :D
I opened it to find an I-POD SHUFFLE :yay:
And another box with seperate I-pod headphones (just better quality than the ones it come with).
And an arm band, so I can go running with it.
It's soooooo pretty stylish and holds 240 tunes :yay:
I was So excited I jumped up and danced around :lol:
It was a totally out of the blue surprise, BLESS my man :throb:
Aren't they just great (I-pods not boyfriends, I meant) :lol:

awww, that's sweet. my boyf got me an iPod mini a month or two back, I nearly killed it with some water but fortunately it came back to life.

on me it would just look crap if I didn't have anything underneath, and a plain T-shirt would look a bit rubbish too. So, go on, inspire me.

I bought a nice black linen one from NL at the weekend. Think I might wear it with my black knee shorts and either a brown t-shirt and my lovely new brown heels, or a white tee (not sure which shoes). I'm still superbly tired though, so not had a trying on session yet. May end up looking rubbish!!

I saw a girl on the tube with a really funky outfit on - it was a blue short waistcoat with a blue stripy shirt that was quite big underneath it (the short sleeves were turned up once) so that the waistcoat kind of cinched (sp?) it all in and then it billowed. She had some long glass beads on too to girlify it!
It was a really nice way to wear a waistcoat.
Hope that inspires someone! It did me!

Hi I am going to a 4pm ceremony in late October. The dress code is black tie.
I would quite like to wear something vintage, but any dress ideas from this season's collections would be great. I am happy to spend up to about £130.
I have small boobs and look good in a prom style dress - small waist and full skirt. Then again, something more draped/modern would also be of interest.
I don't want to wear black, as I already have a black dress that could do.

I knew someone was going to come on and ask about that... I don't know where that specific belt is from, but a lady in my office has 2 brown belts very similar, but i don't think they're quite as wide... i've just asked her and one came from wallis and the other from Next.
