Primark Fitness Gear, hysterical!
Word of warning all...
Went to Primark yesterday, and picked up (amongst other things, though mostly in the baby section  ) a pair of Primark fitness pants and matching singlet top.
Looked gorgeous as I went to the gym, and all was well until I started running on the treadmill.
Then the pants started falling down!  !!!!!
They are a "generous" fit I think! I had to keep pulling them up or they would have been round my ankles in a trice!
Katkinn reckons I should take them back as they are obviously not fit for purpose - what do you all think?
Minky
JIC - they are black and jade green in case someone has been looking for them in a size 12 - 14!!!!!
Answer:
hey minks! how did your exam go, i didn't check back over on baby/toddler!
take them back - thats really poor, no matter how cheap they were!
my goodness i would have been mortified :o :o :o :o am flushing just thinking about it!
Answer:
They're not black with green stripes on the side of the legs with a v shaped waistband are they? If so, I've got them too. But then I'm unlikely to do any running any time soon so I think I'll be ok!
Answer:
Yes Doak, they are! :o :o :o
Hey PV - it was ok, but I made some stoopid mistakes, and nearly got baked to death in the sun (I was right by the window  ). Roll on August!!!

Answer:
I'll remember not to wear them when I finally do get myself to the gym then!
Gauchos outfits - colour combos!
NO.2. ask :
Gauchos outfits - colour combos!
Hello peeps!
Well, I've got two new pairs :o - the green ones (which I think are lush) and a dark purple pair. I had great difficulty in preventing myself buying the teal pair as well, but eventually managed to prise them out of my hot little hand. They looked great on so I might go back and get them sometime though.
But I'm only going to get them if I can come up with some good outfits to wear them with, so I need your suggestions, ladies.
They're pretty much what I would call a true teal - exactly midway between blue and green, quite fresh and zingy. So obviously white and silver will work - white tee, silver belt or scarf, silver sandals etc - but I also thought that hot pink and some shades of brown would look cool as well. And do you reckon gold or bronze would work with them? I have this strange notion that certain shades of orange will look fun too! I saw a mannequin in the shop wearing the gauchos with a dark purple jacket and it looked really good.
The thing that *just* prevented me from buying them is that I want to carry on wearing them into autumn with long boots and some of my jacket collection. I think both the purple and green ones will look good with knee-high brown or tan boots and (say) my hot pink tweed jacket, but I'm less sure about the teal ones, since it's such a summery colour.
Sorry, long rambling post. But I'd love to get your thoughts, either on my warblings or on alternative suggestions and/or reasons to buy/not to buy the teal pair!!

Answer:
I think gold, bronze and brown will go beautifully with the teal - not too sure about the pinks/oranges, but I'd probably have to see the colours together to make up my mind!

Answer:
Cheers Lapis!
I'll have to try them with orange and pink and see what I think; I'm not sure it would work for all shades but I remember carrying a teal here with my hot pink coat and it looked quite good.
Hmmmm. I love planning outfits!

Bad week for my bank balance! :p
Just bought 2 beautiful tops in Reiss, camisole's similar to the chloe grecian dress (bad description i know) and they're sort of twisted at the back?!
One in chocolate and one in dark nude - I prefer to call it oyster!
Got two different sizes though! the oyster one is a bit on the small size and the chocolate is a bit on the large side (only sizes left!) hahahahaha!
Answer:
OOOH i love that top in oyster, Mitchey. I've been drooling over it recently. I've also got my eye on a grey jersey drapey long-sleeve top but can't really justify the price.
Also not impressed with Reiss's quality recently. My black knee-length shorts have two holes in them!
Answer:
both sound lovely
we know youre not shy of posting a pic-or-two so come on missy! i'm bored this arvo................;)

Reiss are buggers for quality (considering the price). My cropped trousers from there are shit quality.
These cost £78 each - the oyster has a small stain on the front (but will come out - managed to get 10% off) and the chocolate's stitching is coming away slightly
I'd have preferred the oyster in a size up (liek the chocolate one)as i think it looks better looser than they're supposed to be but they they're don't seem to be any left anywhere in the larger sizes as she said everybody thought the same as me!!!! I just loved the colour and couldn't leave it!!!! Tell you what though, could hardly get that one off, thought I'd have to wear it out of the shop!!!! :D
Answer:
ok! I'll post some pics when I get home :D
O/T - well kind of...
NO.4. ask :
O/T - well kind of...
Its only a little bit fashion-related but....
on the weekend my palm pilot crashed and now has deleted ALL of my lists !
for those of you who have not been privileged to have me show you my palm pilot lists at Meets I am (was:( ) a complete list-obsessive and had huge amounts of lists of things I wanted to buy, to do, beauty products recommended or tried/liked, beauty treatments and secret numbers for hard-to-book therapists. I also had website lists, holidays, books, cd's, xmas cards, presents ideas.....i had so much information that friends would kind of 'google' me for information.
Basically it was one of my most precious possessions - gone.
Since then I have really lost the will to shop...'cos I won't get that little pleasure of ticking it off my 'To Buy List' (or my To Buy List 2 and 3 - like I said I love lists !)....I also kind of feel like I don't know what to buy because I haven't written it down somewhere and identified it as something I want to buy (not sure that makes sense to anyone else who isn't mad as a hatter ??)
anyway, since its kind of shopping related I felt like posting. I forget about it and go to get the palm out of my here to put somethng in that I see recommended on here....and then I remember.
Poor mr elliecat, he feels a bit to blame because the screen froze when we were on our way to Bond St and I wanted to go home and put it in the charger so that it didn't turn off whilst on (annoying risk with palm pilots that it deletes all the information if the battery runs out whilst the screen is active) and he assured me that I would have time...but I didn't. i charged it as soon as we got home but he saw the next morning that the info was gone and spent about two hours hidden away trying to put it back in from his laptop (where I had backed up the info) before telling me the bad news. Unfortunately he hadn't backed it up for a while despite my requests and what he had backed up seems to have got lost.
Answer:
Oh my goodness ellie you poor thing.
whilst i'm not a listaphobe (far from it :o ) i can feel your pain sweetie :(
did you have any lists written down manually? are these wishlists ones that have been building up for years? aw, that sucks
Answer:
Oh my goodness, Elliecat - that is devastating.
I don't know what to say
Answer:
Oh elliecat, how awful. Can't do more than offer sympathy (I got quite upset this morning when I couldn't find my little wishlist - so I can imagine how much worse this must be!) and a big hug :higgies:
g_k
Answer:
Blimey elliecat - that is awful!
I am a listophile as well - I have lists everywhere, in fact I don't know what I would do if they got wiped! I have manuscript lists which I carry everywhere in one of those Instyle notepads taht are given away free everyyear, and then I put all the important things onto an excel sheet at work (you've got to love a boring job!) which is fortunately backed up with our work system!
:(
Feeling your pain!
Shoulder bag or here
NO.5. ask :
Shoulder bag or here
Hi, its me again :)
For general day use do you prefer heres or shoulder bags and why? Just being nosey.
Answer:
by heres do you mean clutches?
Answer:
I have to say shoulder bags for me, if it doesn't go over my shoulder, i don't feel comfortable. I do really like tote bags, but I have lost a few in my time by just putting them down and forgetting to pick them back up again  ... I feel much safer with something over my shoulder.
Answer:
Hi, I mean hand held bags, not clutch bags.
When you use shoulder bags do you like them with long or short straps?
Answer:
I prefer short straps, if the strap is too long it may as well be a messenger style bag, which I also quite like.
