Holiday Clothes for evening
NO.3. ask :
Holiday Clothes for evening
Hi everyone,
I'm going on Holiday too Turgetis (Turkey) in early September. I'm going with OH. I havent been on a Holiday for ages, other than Ayia Napa last year, where I was out on the town everynight and all night...
So, I'm prety stuck on what I 'should' wear in the evening? For a meal, drinks, etc. Is it OK to wear skirts (shortish ones), denim shorts, etc etc? I dont want to look like I'm going out for a good old night out when I'm not IYSWIM.
Thanks!
Also does anyone know anything about wether you're expected to cover shoulders in Turkey? OH's sister in Law mentioned this, but I can't remember what she said about it exactly.
Answer:
I'm afraid I can't help with the covering the shoulders question but maybe I can offer some suggestions for evening wear.
I'm going to Sardinia with my husband and baby in September and for the evening I'm planning on wearing lots of trapeze style minidresses with flat sandals (heels and buggies just don't work), a couple of pairs of short shorts again with flats and smocky type tops (French Conneciton have some nice ones ATM) and wide legged jeans (I know jeans are supposed to be a no-no on holiday but it won't be sweltering in September) with camisoles and waistcoats again with flat sandals. I'm going to dress things up with bangles, long chains and cocktail rings and :fingers: I'll look passable ;)
freezer bags for carry on liquids?
NO.4. ask :
freezer bags for carry on liquids?
sorry to do this but I need a quick answer, please :o
I fly to the states tomorrow night I'm having a bit of a :cmdunno: moment.
I have a freezer bag for my toiletries but it has a bit of white print on it, will it be ok? I can't find plain ones anywhere, somebody put my mind at ease please, thanks x
Answer:
they have them at the airport. I just put it all in my hand luggage bag then grabbed a bag that they were giving out and took the liquids out my hand luggage and popped them in the bag. x
Answer:
That's good, thanks Lou.
I'm super prepared but this has niggled me all day. I can imagine someone taking exception to the tiny white printed square on the bag I can't be parted from my lipbalm :white: x
Answer:
Don't fret little Dolly, keep your bits in that bag for now and as LouLou says, when you get there, they should have a person giving the bags out.
Answer:
the print doesn't matter but the size does. it needs to be maximum 1 litre capacity, and if they get really arsey they'll complain that it's not the exact same format that they have at the airport  that happened to me once when i had a bag they gave me at the airport in copenhagen, at heathrow they said it was the wrong shape and they made me take one of theirs  even though they were the exact same capacity. they've eased up a bit now though.
ARMY top
NO.5. ask :
ARMY top
I'm looking for a zip up hooded top with Army written across It for a friend. She wants it in Khaki or grey.
They saw one on tv and now really want one.
It should have a full zip and have AR on one side of the zip and My on the other side (does that make sense?)
I can't find one at all. I'm not even sure you can get them.
Anyway, any help would be appreciated.
Tiggs x
Answer:
I had to get one of these a few years ago and ended up buying it in the states - you could try the army and navy stores here but I think they are US army-only
having said that I'm sure I've seen one online somewhere recently but can't remember where - anyone?
found a couple of links but the shipping probably makes it unrealistic:

sorry I can't be more help :(
Answer:
Thank you so much. She'll be well chuffed. I think she's prepered to pay shipping charges.
Thanks again:)
