Belts
I expect everybody knows but me. When you buy a new belt you get a little leather thingy looped through the buckle - at least they were on the last 3 Per Una belts I got from Marks Sparks. I expect I'm being stupid but what's it for?
Answer:
Do you mean a bit of leather by the buckle that stops the end of the belt flapping around?
Answer:
It's a bit of leather with an eye at one end. It's usually looped through the buckle but I can't see how it's attached when wearing it.
Prom look...something special!
NO.2. ask :
Prom look...something special!
Hi there, sorry if I'm in the wrong section, but I wasn't sure where to post this. Here's the dilema. I have my Year 11 leavers prom next thursday and have no idea what to do with my hair/make-up/Jewellry. I'm not really one to wear a lot of make-up and i'm not really an expert but I thought someone might be able to help me!
My dress is a plain black bandeau that is about calf length and my eyes are brown but not amazingly huge. My hair's Light brown and just over shoulder length.
Firstly I don't know what colour to go with for jewellrey - I'd quite like one of those "cascading bead" ones but not sure to stay with black or go for an accent colour. If I have a colour I'll probably go for the same-ish make-up. Which Is my next problem, what should I do for make-up!?
And then there's the hair? It's so fine and straight that it refuses to stay curled and just drops out so thats out of the question!
Any help would be great! I've posted in Beauty aswell.

Answer:
How about a simple soft French roll, with some artfully arranged tendrils? :) This can look quite modern and chic if it isn't too starchy and tidy, and if your dress is strapless I'd suggest wearing your hair up anyway to show off the neckline.
For make-up and jewellery - I quite like the peacocky green and bronze combo with black and I think these would work with your colouring. Sometihng like a simple smoky/smudgy green eye paired with bronze/green jewellery perhaps? It would depend a little on what colour your shoes and here are though.

1 Attachment(s) For evening I love that side ponytail thing Micha Barton does, could only find a tiny pic but hopefully you get the idea.
As geek kitten says green would be a gorgeous accent, there's loads in Accessorize.
Make up wise, you can go to town with the eyes as its a prom :yay: so lashings of mascara (I love l'oreal double extension) and practice with a bit of smudgy eye colour.

Answer:
Agree with all previous posts, hair up - I like side ponys but think they're hard to make look formal - a roll would look gorge. Green sounds a fab colour, especially with brown eyes etc.
Maybe beauty will be able to give more advice make-up wise?
Answer:
Aw thanks guys, your ideas sound great, I'll have to do some experimenting with those ideas seeing as im so make-up unexperienced! I'm quite pale complexion (in a skanky way believe me!) so abit ofcolour would be great!
Thanks again, knew here girls would come through!

Macy's Bag
NO.3. ask :
Macy's Bag
Okie so we've had the craze of the Bloomingdales' Little Brown Bags (v.cute) but I've started noticing similar ones for Macy's, except these ones are pink and black and kind of... hmm bucket shaped (if that makes sense?).
Does anyone know where I can get my grubby little mitts on one???!!! :(
Answer:
My first thought would be ebay. Not sure where else, sorry!
Answer:
I have a pink and black Macys bag, not sure if it is the same as what you are talking about, but I bought it at Macys!! DOH!
Answer:
Swirly black and white writing on it?
I gather that the best place to go would be Macy's but since I'm in Glasgow and ain't going to New York anytime soon, I was wondering if it could be bought on-line the same way as the Bloomies "Little Brown Bag" can be bought???
Answer:
any pic of it?
Contrasty Shoes for Purple Dress
NO.4. ask :
Contrasty Shoes for Purple Dress
1 Attachment(s) Iyaaaaaaaaaaaa everyone  Right, it's my year 13 leaver's do thing a week on saturday, and my mum is making me a gorgeous bright purple dress. I'll try and attach the pattern, if i can, which isn't all that likely with my computer skills.
Anyway, I need some shoes. I hate looking the same as everyone else, so I was thinking CONTRAST. My mum thinks lime green and i agree, or maybe orange or turquoise. What do you think?? And have you seen any STUNNING shoes around? Im a shoe addict and so am a bit skint, therefore I want these ones to be really gorgeous. I preferably want stiletto sandals, not too strappy and definitely not ankle straps as my legs aren't slim enough as it is. Sorry for being picky. Oh and seeing as Hull isn't known for being the epitomy of style, could they be from a fairly mainstream shop? xx THANKYOU!
Answer:
I think turquoise would be a good contrast. Do you have any turquoise jewellery to go with the shoes?
Answer:
No but I can easily buy some. There's a lovely necklace in this week's Heat that i was going to buy anyway. OOHH i want turquoise shoes now! xx
Answer:
1 Attachment(s) Love the style of that dress! How about these Faith shoes...
Answer:
Hi konstantine!
After reading your post I thought the green idea for shoes would be fabuolous with purple, something like these:

Answer:
Sounds like a Buff to me! You can make them into neck protectors, headbands and hats amongst other things try Buff USA
If it is what you are after then you can try camping shops and motorbike shops for a variety of them.
Not entirely sure its a look I would go for off my motorbike though, but that might just be me :p
Answer:
O'Neil / Roxy Quicksilver do these kind of fisherman hats (I know because I always buy my daughter one in the Summer).
