Imagination required
A few weeks ago, I saw a girl with a pair of white, low-heeled shoes on that were a cross between these:
and these:
They were pretty much the style of the first ones, but the heel was more similar to the second ones (except that it curved out at the back, rather than in).
Does anybody know what I'm talking about? Have you seen anything similar? If so, please tell me where. I am obsessed with them.
I'm going to be in Manchester for a week or so next month and possibly in London too (if I can get to the Tate Modern), so shops in those areas would be grand!

Are the Office ones on their website? Only that's where I got the second pair from and I didn't see anything like I wanted.
I forgot to say that I don't think they were slingbacks, but at this stage, I don't care anymore, I just want peeptoes with that nice heel and that strippy leather look.

the ones in New Look are not slingback and neither's the Office ones, they are more wedgy heel though I think. Shame New Look haven't got a website for their shoes but don't think they have?

Morning all,
sorry to start another thread up about Primark!
BUT...
am I the only one that thinks its over-rated. I went to the new branch that opened in Kingston on saturday expecting to find some really nice stuff, especially after reading threads on here, but to be honest i thought most of it was really naff and looked so cheap looking (i know it is cheap, but it looks so cheao too!).
I think its great for simple vest tops, socks underwear which i purchased, but that's all. i also invested in some towels which i thought were a great bargain until i used them, they didn't soak up any water on your body - took ages to dry!!
Am I the only one to think this or were my expectations far too high?? :confused:

Sorry if this sounds patronising (and not really fashion-related) but did you wash the towels first? Towels of any kind never seem to soak up any water until you've washed them once.

I didn't wash them beforehand as i don't usually with other towels but i will give that a try!! was so pleased with them being such a bargain i was quite dissapointed!

I was just about to say (gingerthin beat me to it!) that all towels whether they're Primark or Christie always need washing before using as they put a finishing agent on them which repels water.
Remmy, sorry you had a disappointing visit but I think it's always been said that you have to cherry pick the good items. 90% is crap but there are some fantastic bargains if you root around and are lucky with stock being delivered. Better luck next time maybe. :)

I don't know what's happening to the Allders in York yet either. The site used to belong to CA and there was a bit of a bun fight between Allders and Debenhams for it - perhaps Debenhams will get it now because their York store is a shambles!
