Sass Bide Frayed Misfits stove pipe stretch jeans

NO.1. Ask :
Sass Bide Frayed Misfits stove pipe stretch jeans
I was thinking of getting a pair of these but having never had Sass Bide before does anyone know what the sizing is like?
http://www.brownsfashion.com/cruise5.html
I was looking at getting the grey pair.
Answer:
I'd say the sizing's pretty normal, maybe a teeny bit on the small side. The jeans do come up a bit smaller than their cords (if you'd tried them), cos of the lack of stretch but I reckon if you get your normal size you'll be fine after you've worn them in a bit. Hope that helps.

I look old...I need your help!
Hiya having been a lurker for ages I really trust the comments of many fashion baggers and I have learnt so much, anyway I think I need your help!
A few weeks ago some complete strangers put my age at 33, a whole 6 years older than I actually am :o anyway I can't get this out of my head and its really bothering me. Their explanation was the way I was dressed. I was wearing; a long sleeved deep v neck t-shirt in a pinky red colour, black trousers and a short creamy beige trench.
I think I probably look younger out of work, to give you an idea at the moment I am wearing a black elle vest and rolled up beige combats and black flip flops- very casual. Shopping - Gap ultra low jeans, orange vest and sloppy grey v-neck over the top with cowboy boots and hair in a messy pony tail (just got it cut with choppy layers and copper highlights). Casual dinner out - silver wedges, white kaftan with silver and light blue detail and dark long and leans.
So the question is, should I be worried and have you got any suggestions please? After starting to feel better about myself due to losing a bit of weight I now feel a bit
    :(
    Answer:
You should have watched that series 10 years younger a little while ago... although it was a bit extreme with most of the people having to need surgery to alter their facial appearance.
I think alot of it is how you dress carry yourself in style - including accessorising even your hair.
I'm getting the opposite though... people tend to think i'm at least 5 years younger than I really am, and I am sure it's all down to how I dress.
I like quite girly and funky things, plus shop the high street... I don't know if it's an assumption that if you've got your finger on the pulse of trends and fashions that you're quite young hip?
Your outfits sound nice and I wouldn't have put them down as particularly 'old'... although I am thinking that it might have been the trenchcoat that did it as I think that is an older woman's kind of coat IMO.
    Answer:
Oh hun - I don't have any real advice, just wanted to say I think you sound very stylish. Your hair sounds great - I love coppery colours for hair.
I work in a very corporate environment and have to dress conservatively for work - but it can't be helped. I'm sure I must look older when I'm in work mode though. I look at all the stylish girls in interesting outfits on the bus and feel very boring.
I don't think you have anything to be worried about - I know its depressing when people think you're older than you are but many people are terrible at judging age, so try not to take it personally. :)
    Answer:
I've got to side with yingers here, as no one thinks i am 29 - normally get taken for 22 at the most - last friday everyone that attempted to chat me up were average age of 18. partly down to dress, but mainly due I think to the way I accessorise, carry myself, act and the fact that I have young-looking friends too. your clothes sound OK - not too old, just not very "exciting", maybe try some girly accessories or shoes. don't go the whole hog and dress like an 18 year old though - that CAN look wrong.
maybe the out fits you mentioned with some glam chandelier earrings, or a chunky necklace? or maybe a funky belt or pair of high wedges? - try shops like HM and New Look for up to the minute looks without having to spend a lot.
    Answer:
Its just strange, for the last few years I have consciously dressed conservatively at work most of the time as I am in quite a senior role for my age and I went through a stage of not being taken seriously! Most of the time now people seem to assume I'm the same age as them and I get less confrontation and hassle which is a relief, but at the same time it was a kick in the teeth.
Maybe I should go back to wearing want I want, when I want, and drawing on all the ideas I get from here!
Oh and I love my hair atm so thats cool!

    Answer:
For shape and fit I LOVE the dotty ps scoop neck vests and they come in really pretty colours :)
If you want to make them quirky you could always customise them - it doesnt take a lot to make them individual - a little ruching, or ribbon trim :)

    making jeans skinny
I have a few pairs of yummy calf length boots which I don't want to shroud in jeans or a long skirt, but just don't look right with a shorter skirt...
SO, I'd like to make some currently redundant jeans into skinny drainpipes in order that can tuck them in.
I'm competent on a machine, and don't mind if I muck it up first try as there are a few pairs I could mend or chuck.
Any tips? (ie; should I take in from the outside or inside leg etc)
    Thanx!
    Answer:
You need to take them in from the inside leg. I've been doing it for years. Just put your jeans on inside out and pin them up to see how tight they need to be / where the seam is gonna be. If you want them really tight to put into boots you might need to take them in a bit from the outside leg. Good luck!
    Answer:
I had mine done by a tailor but the result is well worth it. If you want them really narrow you will also need to put zips in at the ankle or your feet will not fit through. Also if they are non stretch leave a bit of room to move - mine look great but would be easier to wear with a bit more space.
