What do you usually wear to travel abroad?

NO.1. Ask :
What do you usually wear to travel abroad?
I am going away tonight, to italy. And i need some advice on what to wear for the journey.. i know that sounds pathetic, but i always get it wrong. Really im asking from a practical point of view as opposed to fashion i suppose; but if i can look stylish too then that would be good. Thanks.
Answer:
When I went last week I wore.
A full blue pleated knee length skirt, pumps, black round neck jumper and pashmina. I always prefer to wear skirts on the plain. And also bring a pashmina, as it gets really cold on the plane.
Have a nice holiday :)
Answer:
I only really travel longhaul (a 3 hour flight then an 11 hour flight then a 2 hour flight and finally a 2 hour drive - about 24 hours in all counting the waiting in airports). I always wear
comfy jeans - usually dark
black t shirt (in case I spill something during turbulence - so it won't be noticeable) with a spare one in my hand luggage.
extra t shirt in my bag to change into
extra socks to change into
hoody
pashmina
flat pull on boots coz my feet swell and I can't be bothered with laceups. I always have to run from one end of an airport to the other when I make my connections so I can't wear heels.
I always remove all jewellery and makeup as soon as I get onto the plane.
my trusty black leather jacket.
Because I fly from Scandinavia to Africa I usually get on in minus 30 and off in plus 40 or vice versa so I need something that covers all temperature extremes
Answer:
Whenever I travel anywhere I have to be comfortable... I usually wear a t-shirt top, combats or trackkie-b's and a hoodie or denim jacket. I usually have a hat too like a baseball cap or flatcap.
I have to wear comfy shoes... usually trainers that I can kick off and get on easily when I land. Flip flops are good too, but this means I can't wear socks... just in case my feet get cold on the journey!
If i'm going somewhere hot, I could be in linen trousers, if i'm going somewhere cold then I will have a warmer coat too.

    Tights
I'm after a particular style of tights or holdups/stockings (which would be better).
They're high denier black 3/4 of the way round and have a strip of fishnet up the back about 3 inches across. I've been told that both La Senza and River Island both do them, but I can't find them in there stores or on the websites. Has anyone else seen them anywhere?

Was wondering if anyone has seen one like this in the shops now?
Would looove to wear this in the summer to look different from what is popular now!
    Thanks
    Answer:
That dress is nice not sure where to find it though sorry.
I was looking and found THIS does anyone know where I could find one like it?
    Answer:
Hi, I'm normally a lurker, though slowly posting more and more.
The first dress is by L.A. Made (though I'm guessing you already knew that) :) and It's available in a peach/orange color on this website:
    http://www.sunwalters.com/product/co...kenddress.html
Not sure if it's in your size or not, but I figured it could give you someplace to start. :) That website only ships within North America, but if you use ShoptheStates or have a friend there, it might be helpful. :)
Not too sure where you could get it in the U.K. as I'm based in the U.S. Sorry if that was completely unhelpful! :)
    Answer:
    Hi dolphins130:wave:
    Noo you wernt unhelpful
Ive checked out that site before and seen some gorgous stuff on there. Your lucky your based in the States, nice clothes seem to be at hand anywhere over there! Its a nightmare here!
I was looking to find a high-street alternative as over here in season its the gypsy-look and all the shops are backed out with boho stuff
    Cheers anyway though!

Do you have your own style or do you follow fashion?
now at 33 I have noticed a distinct repetition of loud colours, big prints, lots of chunky coloured jewellery, doesn't really matter what the fashoin is doing... I'm always loud.
do you have a system that works for you - a look that is a bit of a signature?
    Answer:
I'm nearly 30 but have always been a sucker for colour and prints... I think I always will do but I have been thinking alot recently about how much longer I can carry certain styles off.
I don't really know if I'm a real fashion follower... I don't think I am... I wear what I like what I'm comfortable with... I never try to follow the fashion norm all the clones out there.
    Answer:
you can really tell people who have that natural style about them - effortlessly!
it's nice to see - bring out the beautiful people - leave your bellies at thome.
    Answer:
I like to think I have my own style, although not much at the moment as Im broke !! :p Although I get mostly high street stuff and mix it with my own accesories and tops made my little clothing companys. I <3 Hm especially.
    Answer:
I like to keep an eye on current trends but I definatley have my own style rather than slavishly following fashion. I was a rock/indie chick in my teens and early twenties and then progressed to a boho kind of look in the last few years (apart from at work when I am a suit). So ATM I am totally in fashion/look like a fashion victim, depending on your point of view. On the one hand it's annoying that every other person is dressed in 'my look' but on the other it means that I'm finding it incredibly easy to find clothes I like.

    bra tops,help!
I want to buy this top in aqua-

Its a organza-trim bra top tank. Does that mean there are fitted cups in there (which i dont want) or is there just a bit of material in there for support (like there is in sports clothing). I want to be able to wear my own bra and dont want it to look padded or anything.
    thanks
    Answer:
I would say that it would be more of a crop-top type support rather than proper cups. Have a look at the sizes available - if it states 10,12,14 etc then it is probably ok. Do they have a pic of the back of the garment?
    :)
    Answer:
Hello, thanks for the reply. There isnt a picture of the back of it but i'll probably not buy it anymore as i probably dont wana risk it. :)
    thanks
