Miss Selfridge maxi dress - please help
Just watching LK Today:o and they have shown a new version/colourway of the Miss Selfridge maxi dress that is in their adverts, but sold out everywhere.
Looked online - nada. Tried the customer service number - out of service.
Does anyone know how I can get my hand on this beauty before it ends up on ebay at a squillion times the original price.

Office shoes yay or nay
NO.3. ask :
Office shoes yay or nay
I'd never have picked these out from the website but saw them on sat and they are really cute.
They are just well, a bit strange really, and the heel is odd. Probably why I like them. Does anyone have them or have any opinions? good or bad? :cmdunno:
I need to make up my mind quickly whilst I can still use the Elle discount!
x
Answer:
They are quite cute but there's something I'm not sure about but can't quite put my finger on what it is, maybe it's the heel?
sorry not much help, are they to go with any particular outfit?
Answer:
The heel is definitely a bit odd! They weren't to go with a particular outfit no, just general summery shoes. I tried them on with wide legged jeans in the shop and that seemed to go nicely.
I always struggle with summer shoes as I like pinky/ nudey ones but sometimes it looks as if I haven't got shoes on as I've got quite pale skin IFSWIM.
But I'm not sure my new job will be as lenient about footwear and I might not be able to get away with havaiianas for work...
Answer:
Ah I see! If I were you I'd get them off the website if you haven't worn them after a week, take them back. At least that way you can try them on with other outfits.
Answer:
They're *fine*, I've seen better and I have certainly seen worse. If they were nice in the flesh, and you like them, I would go for it. Do what Dolly said, and keep them for a week. Also, try them on with likley work outfits, and see whther they go. X
Need to lose a few pounds
NO.4. ask :
Need to lose a few pounds
I've been off work for 2 weeks over Easter and put on 1/2 a stone. I now don't feel confident in my clothes and feel generally crap about myself.
When I said to my boyfriend, family and friends that I need to get 1/2 a stone off they all just say 'don't be so ridiculous- you look fine as you are' and I get zero support.(i'm not overweight but i'm certainaly not thin- I just feel uncomfortable at this heigher weight IYSWIM).
I'm gonna sart watching what I eat today and stepping up the exercise. Just wondering if anyone else was in the same situation and wanted to talk/support each other??? or if anyone had any really good tip's ?? (apart from what I would say to others - eat less and exercise more!)
(yes I've been in the diet forum- but I would like to ask here first )
Cheers x
Answer:
I'm starting today too  I've been eating for England lately and have no idea why so today is the day.
I'm going the Weenie way and going to try GI, thanks Weenie :higgies: so shall see how I go and report back.
I've had my porridge for breakie and just eating an apple as a snack. I plan on having a chicken salad for lunch
I walk to and from both stations in the morning and am going for a run tonight.
Good luck Spangly
Answer:
I know where you're both coming from. Mine has been creeping up for about a year and now I need to lose about a stone and a half. You might laugh, but I have just started the Paul Mckenna 'I can make you thin' cd and I am already seeing results. It basically tells you to eat whatever you want, whenever you want, but you need to make sure you are really hungry and not just eat for the sake of it (which is what I tend to do). It also tells you to eat slowly and to stop eating when you are full (not just carry on pigging out until you are bursting at the seams!). It's early days but I am already feeling a bit lighter and more positive about everything. I feel that I really can do this. Diets don't work, you just need to eat sensibly. Everything in moderation.
Good luck with your weight loss!
Answer:
Hello, I certainly know the feeling xspanglyx.
You've mentioned Diet, but have you tried looking in Fitness. There are lots of very supportive people in the same boat in there.
Personally, I would try to research a sensible, balanced diet that's going to work for you long term and plan to do several exercise sessions a week.
If this weight has just crept on whilst you've been ill and therefore inactive, I wouldn't beat yourself up too much. It happens.

Answer:
Hi
I know exactly how you feel. About a year ago I was in your position, only I need to loose a stone. I had the same reaction from everyone, they all told me I was mad, I didnt need to loose it. But I just knew I did, as you described my clothes were not fitting as well, jeans and stuff were just too snug!
I ignored them all and went to Weight Watchers as I had tried 'being good' myself but it just wasnt working. I found it so helfpul and stuck to the points programme they have and the weight fell off! I was also reassured there that you don't have to me massively overweight to join. Loads of people just need to loose 10lbs or so to fit back into their clothes properly.
Personally I think the biggest things that helped me were switching to low fat milk, cutting out the real butter (I ate tons of this). I also switched to low fat cheese and low fat crisps. It will all depend on what your vices are but these were mine.
Good luck, and go for it, you will feel so much better :)
HKBL woven hobo
NO.5. ask :
HKBL woven hobo
I know a few baggers have a woven hobo, but I was just wondering which leather they are made out of and what size they are. I think calf skin is the plain leather ?
Hopefully someone can help me. Thanks in advance.
Answer:
Anyone
Answer:
I have two of them, they are made of soft lambskin. I will get the measurements for you tonight. My black one softened up a lot more than the brown, but I put that down to the degree of use.
Answer:
Thanks so much Clarice.
Fiona gave me the choice of ostrich, python or calf skin.
