You have an idea of what you want, but can't find it anywhere.
I'm going on holiday to Italy in about 4 weeks. I need a couple of pair of shoes...
I'm looking for some flats - kind of like these - but flat. And in Turquoise or Silver. Infact, the more I look at this pair, I quite like them, might get them if I'm desperate!
I'm also looking for some heels, in turquoise or silver (can you see a theme here?!) that are a bit beady but not too high.
I'm a shoe-a-holic and haven't seen any shoes I've wanted for so long (well apart from the Jimmy Choos but want some slightly cheaper ;) )
Can anyone help?!
eta: don't really like ankle straps either..... :)
Answer:
Theres some like the first pair on the accessorize website in flat version.
Answer:
I saw some just like the pink ones but flat and brown (sorry!) in MS today, very nice. Failing that, try Oasis? Topshop has also got some nice flats, but not turquoise or silver in my branch. For the heels check out Office and Schuh, although I'm sure Faith would have some...
Answer:
I really like these:

and in turquoise:

Have you looked at the Faith flipflops? Oops, just realised the first pair's white, not silver... well Oasis had them in silver!
Answer:
Bit o/t but I loooooove those shoes :D You shoudl get them!:)

Anyone? :)

can you attach any pics of them?
to help out us budding fashionistas.
dark emerald - how about a chocolate brown jersy top or maybe other jewel colours like aqua blue or light green? most shades of green and blue look good together, but do NOT wear black or white with it
lavender - not so sure, maybe pinks or periwinkle blue or grey. white could work, but black would just look wrong.
black gypsy skirt you can wear with just about anything except black in the summer to avoid being mistaken for a goth, patterns and pastel colours would be cool as well as the simple white racer back and chunky belt combo.
the ballgown is difficult.........what about teaming it with gold or silver accessories?
Answer:
Ball dress: Silver, cream, certain shades of brown or even bronze - would have to see the dress to say for certain about that though.
I'm honestly not sure how easy it would be to find shoes to go with all of the skirts - you're restricted by the lavender here, which will only work with certain pinks, silvers, light blues and so on. I think silver is probably your best (or only bet) here, since it will work fine with the black and should also be OK with the green skirt. I don't know where you could get some silver pumps though - I've been searching for a while!
For the individual skirts:
Chocolate brown is a good bet, I reckon. Also, metallics, especially gold and bronze, will look nice too, as will warm beiges, tans and so on. I'm not sure about blues because I'm having trouble picturing the skirt! It's alos just possible that certain shades of burnt orange might look OK too, but I would really need a pic to say for sure.
For the lavender skirt, silvers, light blues, delicate pinks and other subtle cool colours will probably work. Dark grey also looks good with lilac/lavender.
The black skirt will go with just about anything - opinion is devided on this board about exactly what type of colours to pair with it though! Personally, I don't like pastels much with black - I much prefer hot colours, but it depends on what suits your colouring better. I really like taupes, creams, beiges and so on with black at the moment, maybe paired with metallics. Also, have fun with colours - if your colouring can take it, something striking like a black skirt, teal or turquoise top with a hot pink (or even orange!) cardi or shrug and metallics can look really cool.
Like the racer back vest and belt idea too.
I also have to say that I like totally black outfits in the summer - done properly with the right accessories, it looks rather chic and sophisticated to my eye! I've worn a black gypsy skirt with a black vest, gold sandals and a pretty gold belt and the whole outfit didn't look gothic or un-summery to me.

Hi guys -
Just thought I'd say that I've bought silver pumps from Fornarina - I didn't buy these in the UK but it's a well-known brand, so I'm sure must be stocked somewhere. :) The pumps are leather with a 1cm band of elastic at the edges - they are pretty good quality but around 40-50 GBP. Other than that, there's always French Sole, I think they have silver ballet pumps for 55 GBP.

mr.bugbabe arrived to take me out for the day with a hideous polo shirt on with a burn hole in the sleeve!! it was a horrid faded green and mustard yellow--ewwwwwwwwwww:sick:
it was similar to this one in the pic, but had green sleeves!!
i refused to go anywhere til he had changed. he said he loved this shirt and he had had it for years!
is it just me or wouldnt you wear something with a fag hole in it?!
the hting is, hes so well dressed otherwise. i mean his idea of a cheap shirt is 50quid!!

SANDALS
Answer:
My boyfriend has a seriously hideous jumper, its beige and fleecy but with a really nasty false satin effect band round the bottom with a drawstring. He doesnt see the problem with it but its really nasty. And its all old and bobbly. Other than that he's got a good dress sense. Poor clueless men!
Answer:
The colours don't sound amazing, but the burn hole is unacceptable! Has the man no pride?! At least he feels comfortable around you! And I suppose if you were just slobbing around... but still, just get a new shirt!
My boyfriend has really shapeless and horrid cheap t-shirts he bought in Thailand during his gap year (fake surfer labels etc), and ancient tees that still have name tags in from when he was at boarding school! The necks are stretched out of shape, they were never good quality to start with, and are very dodgy colours. I hate them. So I am insidiously trying to build up a nice collection of tees and polo shirts for him to wear, whilst gently explaining my aversion to his 10-year-old monstrosities, and he is gradually coming round to the concept of style and NICE colour. Luckily he's very fit (IMO!) so these things never look too dreadful, but he can look so much better! Still, he's learning, and the crap stuff is now reserved for sport... it's a start!
Answer:
my ex had good fashion sense but I drew the line at a Burberry top when we were going to a trendy bar-and a Hacket top he was thinking of buying.
