bikini - do you like?
bikini 1
bikini 2
What do you guys think of these two bikinis for my hol? You think the tropical one is a bit garish for me, im really pale?
Thanks
Answer:
Hi RainbowBright
They're not in my colours, but then I'm not picking for me ;)
If I was to go for one, it would be the plainer blue one. If you are pale, I think you might be right, the tropical one could be too garish. :)
Answer:
If I were a size 8 like you I would wear the multi coloured one!!
Me, a size 12/14, would wear the blue one.
Make of that what you will :p
Answer:
thanks guys, REALLY like the tropical one - damn why am i so pasty white?! :( Maybe i will just wait and see what price it goes up to.
Answer:
I would buy them both - they are both gorge ;).
I don't think the printed one is too bright. Get a spray tan before you go and it'll be stunning!

Which outfit?
NO.2. ask :
Which outfit?
Hello peeps!
Going out for a spot of cinematic culture and some food tonight and feel like wearing something nice for a change. I've got three possibilties - any views?
Outfit 1:
Above the knee strapless burgundy velvet dress (really a skirt) worn over jeans. Chunky brown belt, brown shrug and slouchy brown suede boots over the jeans. Gold/pink/turquoisey necklace made from three connected dangling circles and a goldy cuff bracelet with enamelled flowers. Dark green cord or brown tweed jacket, gold Topshop bag.
Outfit 2:
Dark denim skirt, sea green T shirt, very pale gold/beige long crocheted loose vest belted over the top with the same chunky brown belt. Either nude fishnets or brown opaques, depending on weather and gold ballet pumps or long battered brown boots. Turquoisey choker. Probably a beige suede jacket or a brown mandarin collar one. Battered brown or tan buckled here depending on jacket.
Outfit 3:
Black trousers, creamy short-sleeved lace top (sounds naff but looks very pretty) over a beige T-shirt with 3/4 length sleeves. Gold skinny belt, irridescent black beads. Black velvet jacket, ultra-cute leopard print kitten heels and a plain black here.
Not desperately imaginative, I know, but my back is hurting and my brain has turned to mush :ill:
Any thoughts?

Answer:
All those outfits sound great - but I especially like outfit number 1. I like the sound of the different colours and textures.
Answer:
1 if you want to dress up a bit more, 3 if you want to look more classic.
You have such a knack for creating these combinations, they always sound amazing!
Answer:
I think 3 sounds lovely
Answer:
Thanks girls! I can't really take any credit putting these outfits together, bubbles - it's all down to the fact that my wardrobe is full of random unmatched unplanned purchases from charity shops... At the moment, it's all so disconnected and random that if I want new ideas, I tend to tip piles of stuff onto the bed, give it a good stir and see what falls out together!
A 50-50 split on outfits so far - any other views??

Answer:
Of course not! I'm a 10 but sometimes a 12 if I want more room. I'd go for a large if I was you. they are actually very flattering and v comfortable!
Ballet flats
NO.4. ask :
Ballet flats
Is anyone else having a problem adjusting their style to go with these shoes?
And does anyone else just not like how flats feel?
Answer:
It took me a while to get used to them, I have to say, but now that I have, I love them. And this from an inveterate heel wearer!
I'm not sure you really need to adapt your style much - I certainly didn't, they just sort of slotted in! I wear ballet pumps when I want to look a bit more casual/girly, and pointy-toed ones when I want to look a bit edgier/slicker.
g_k
Answer:
What G_K said.
I luuuuuuuuurrrrrvvvvvve my ballet flats - I have a mock croc pair that look lovely with jeans and my mac and a black pair that go with everything, amongst others. i'm still lusting after a pair of French Sole bronze ones, but my bank balance will not allow....having said that I did get paid today.....hmmmm....now look what you've done!;)
Obviously there are some looks that ballet falts just won't work with, but it's like with everything else - it's all about experimenting!

Does anyone know where to get some cheap white leather ones?
They're some on the front of the Vogue Cheap Chic magazine, but they're still £45, and I'm a student :( (and trying to save to go to Morocco :yay: )
Anyone?
Answer:
Try new look... they did have all different colours for £12 but they weren't the most comfortable cos of the materials.
What to wear to watch a band?
NO.5. ask :
What to wear to watch a band?
Hi ladies, i need some help, i'm 28 and a size 12/14, we don't go out very often as we have two small children and if we do its usually to restaurants. Other half has got tickets to watch a few bands and i'm clueless as to what i should wear? i'm guessing i shouldn't wear my fabulous open toe shoes and sandals don't want anyone to stand of them. thanks to anyone that takes the time to reply.
Answer:
If you're going to be standing all night I would advise against heels.
I tend to wear jeans and something when I go to gigs but then I'm a bit of a slob :D
Answer:
Jeans and comfy shoes, assuming it's a stand up gig. You will end up sweaty and covered in beer, probably, so it's not really worth dressing up.

*nods* Ah memories :D
Answer:
Yup nice jeans and a tshirt or casual top.
Comfy shoes - they don't have to be flat if you have comfy wedges or such.
