Petite linen trousers?
Hi, anybody know where I can get some short length linen trousers in either brown, black or khaki? Would rather have specific info, rather than "X shop will probably have them".
A lot of shops are starting to stock autumn fashion so I hope I can find some!!

MS had some in their sale for £12, in black and white. Their sale started on Thursday and they are getting rid of most of their linen stuff, so good luck searching.
Next may also be worth a look - I know this is vague but Yingers posted about buying some linen trousers in Next yesterday, so they must still have them, and she mentioned getting them in the Petite section.

This is right and I was about to respond this. I am short legged and bought some of these yesterday from next BOGOF at the moment too, two pairs for £20 and they even do petite length crops (as crops usually go nearer my ankle :o )
They are really nice fabric too, and I believe they also come in beige, brown, white black.
River Island also do shorter length linen trousers every year, but these are usually brought out in the spring and considering they're just rolling out their A/W stuff, I'm not sure they will still have them. I used to get these every year at £30 a go, until I discovered Primark £8 jobbies, they are too long, but for the price the reasonable quality, they are worth getting shortened.

I’ve found some boots on the Faith website that I really like the look of. However, I haven’t seen anything like these in the shops for a while. I’m a bit worried that I’ve left it too late now! Basically, has anyone seen anything similar to the boots on this link, or does anyone have these ones and are they nice/comfortable?

I've got those boots!
I bought them last year just before Christmas and have worn them loads. They look great with skirts, dresses, anything. They are quite high though - I do occasionally wear them for work and boy, do my feet know all about it by the time I get home! :rolleyes:
I got the dark brown and all I would say is that they do scuff easily - but the tan probably wont show marks as much.
They are a classic shape and will last ages if you look after them.
85 quid well spent IMO.

Well I suppose that depends on the size of your calves and how baggy your jeans are! I have average calves - dont have a problem with boot zips or anything but I couldnt get my jeans inside them (well not comfortably anyway).
Perhaps if you had skinny leg jeans it would work?

Having ordered my gauchos from America yesterday morning and feeling very pleased with myself I went into Urban Outfitters last night to discover that they are selling them for £30. They had them in black, a taupey colour and a kind of lagoony colour. I got the taupe and I really like them. I'm now desperately trying to cancel my order from the US!

I am 5'4/5 and they are about two inches below my knees I think.
I am really chuffed with them as they are very practical and look great with all my wedges, but I had to go a size up as they are not very flattering when they are tight, so I'm now beating myself up that I'm a lardy arse!

I tried them on in there in black on Saturday, i hated having to leave them behind, but I'd already ordered and sent the cash for my ebay ones. They#re fab on aren't they!! i was so tempted to go back and buy them anyway for instant gratification, my friend had to talk me out of it :o by saying I'd have two pairs.

After all the trouble of trying to get those jewelled wedges, I rang them yesterday and they said I'd get them today.
Just had a knock at my door, ran down to meet the delivery man.. thought the bag looked too small, and thought it might be a top I ordered instead. Opened it up, and it's from TS.. but all that's inside is some of their gift wrapping, and they've charged me £3.95 for it! :mad: :mad:

This has just happened to me and it was the most freaky thing ever. I was walking into work and kept hearing a 'snap shot' noise like you get on camera phones behind me. Just as I got to work, two builders over took and took another photo of me from the front.
Now I'm preying that they were just being lecherous :sick: because I'm wearing a short skirt and that the picture's not going to end up on here as so heinous fashion crime, but god knows what use they'll put it to now.
It was a really wierd and unpleasant experience.

I haven't had that happen to me, but I do get freaked out when tourists take photos of me as a "genuine Oxford student" (this was worst when we had to do this silly ritual thing called "matriculation" in our gowns and the streets were lined with people taking photos of us!)

Oh wow thats horrid, I hope your ok. This happened to a friend of mine, she was on the deserted side of the district line on the way to Upminister all alone in a carriage and two massive random blokes came sat next to her and took a picture of her right in front of her face and then laughed and went. I really don't find this funny at all because it can be very unpleasent and intimidating. :mad:
