Would you wear this fabric?

NO.1. Ask :
Would you wear this fabric?
I'm thinking of buying this fabric, but i'm wondering if it is too loud, espesh seeing as i don't normally wear prints. I thought it maybe fits the 'jungle' type exoctic fashion that's supposed to be around at the moment. I'm thinking of making a top or skirt from it and a scarf. What do you think? I'm such a magpie for bright colours that i sometimes make terrible fashion mistakes- help me!

Answer:
I love the fabric and share you magpie instinct for colour. Personally I would use it as a jacket lining - I love plain jackets with jewel colour linings. I made a tux jacket and lined it with the mose fab multi-colour silk check. I think your fabric might look a bit 80's for a whole garment. You should get some anyway even if you only put it you stash and get pleasure from looking at it from time to time :D I understand fabric addiction and the need to feed it.
Answer:
Hehe, thanks pansymouse. I think i might let it go as it's on ebay and is only available as a 5 yards peice. I guess from the other 42 views nd no replies that it isn't a popular choice!
Answer:
That's really pretty - would make a cute cami or flirty little skirt I imagine although my sewing skills are NON existent!

Answer:
I like it and think it would make a great cami or a halterneck top!

    NO.2. ask :
    I've Shopped in No-Go Shops
For years I've had a mental list of "wouldn't be seen dead in anything from there" shops but in the last couple of weeks I've been challenging my preconceptions.
First it was Peacocks after a couple of favourable comments here, I got a lovely pair of classic hippy sandals (flat with big toe band and plaited leather strip to broad main band) for £10. They seems to be trying to get into the Primark territory a bit, they're not quite as cheap or as good yet but I think they may get there.
Secondly I went to Morgan and got a lovely pair of beige sloucy cowboy boots with wrap things round the legs. It seems that they sell far less nylon slapper wear now and have some quite nice civilised stuff that would actually cover your bottom or boobs.
    Answer:
hahaha, i might actually venture into morgan today then. It used to be so bad for slapper wear!
    Answer:
Hey! There must be somthing in the air because Ive recently started going in to New Look after years of laughing at people that did. Dare I say I was shocked by some of the nice stuff there and intend to fully include it in my high street shop. Well, as lon as I avoid the teeny tiny stuff anyway!
    ;)
    Answer:
You call those achievements?! :p
I've been looking for something to go with my ball gown for weeks, and I managed to find a really nice, fine sparkly silver pashmina for £5 (as opposed to the £30 that the dress shop quoted me) in....:o :o bon marche :o :o
    Beat that
    Answer:
I had to walk through Littlewoods to get to Iceland yesterday, and I ran a quick eye over the racks...
    Nothing appealed though! :faint: :yay:

    Weekend Purchases
Not sure if this will survive, but technically it's a different topic so further to my post in weekly purchases: What did you buy this weekend??
I splashed out a bit and bought:
    (With apologies to Mitchey)
Chocolate brown knee length shorts - TS (couldn't get my size in Oxf St on Fri despite stalking several SAs, but found them hiding away at the back of a rack in High Street Ken)
Pale gold, pink and silver shoes same as Mitchey's :o - TS
Pale pink cropped assymetric cardi - TS Design
Beautiful pale pink / brown silky tulip shape skirt - TS Design (Love it, but it might go back as it's just too big)
Pale blue / white striped baby blazer - Urban Outfitters
White vest with lace trim and coral straps - Urban Outfitters
Cream lace top with lace up front - Urban Outfitters
Pale blue / denim colour linen cropped sailor jacket - Hennes
Gold, bronze, silver weave belt - Warehouse
So quite a good haul although I'm struggling to find any tops that aren't A Line / baby doll shape - it's very frustrating!

    Answer:
Yay! Sounds v nice and I'm flattered that you bought the shorts and shorts :DTop sfrom Urban outiftters sounds lovely - is that Oxford Circus branch?
    Answer:
My Fiance took me out on Sunday and gave me a budget of £400 but I coudln't find ONE THING I LIKED!!!!
Mimi - those KG shoes and I wanted looked crap on me and the DBM jacket didn't look right in the flesh :(
    Answer:
Pretty boring day shopping yesterday, nothing clothes related. I'm really struggling to find things I like in the shops. It's all exactly the same boho and slightly nautical theme.
    Anyway I got:
-New Queens Of The Stone Age Album
-Father Ted Card. It was in one of the little shops in Brighton Lanes, and it has Father Ted on the front and 'Happy Birthday' next to it.
    -New issue of Q Magazine.
    Answer:
Oh no!! I hate it when that happens.
I hope you don't mind about the shoes and shorts - the shoes are such a bargain and the shorts are a basic aren't they??!
That's so sweet of your fiance. My boyfriend finally bought me my ipod socks - it's not quite the same is it??

Opinion on TS denim shorts culottes
    Don't like :(
The mooch boys baggy ones are the nicest and fit v well but the denim is nasty and the pockets are a little too low. The culottes aren't very nice either I'm afraid ladies.
I think I'm going to wait until somebody makes the perfect pair for me!!!
    Answer:
Oh bollocks! Haven't received mine yet but I have a feeling they're going to be heading straight back!

Anyone else had this email? It says to follow a link but I'm a bit suspicious considering all the ebay scam emails being sent around. I've been sent it about 7-8 times! Should I just delete it or something??

It's spam AMP. I've been getting these for months and months, years probably. I send them to spam@ebay.co.uk and then delete them. Don't follow the link and never enter your personal details. Ebay will never ask you for your personal details - if you get an email asking for them it's always a scam.
    Answer:
    yeah me too!
its been going on for months, plus i get 'ebay' emails prompting me to put in my details (again spam)
    Answer:
:o Thank you. I'll delete them then, first time I've been sent ebay spam so was a bit:confused:
