What do you think of this?

NO.1. Ask :
What do you think of this?

I like it and think it might be nice to take on holiday with me for in the evening. Any thoughts?
Answer:
I'm afraid I don't like it.
It's 100% polyester which will be sweaty, the fabric looks kind of shiny in the pictures and I don't like the colours either.
Sorry. :cmdunno:
Answer:
I love the colours, gorgeous and summery. Material might not be too nice, hard to tell. I like it though, v cute :)
Answer:
i think its pretty, but imo it looks a bit cheap. sorry. :o
Answer:
I seen this the other day, I liked it until I clicked on the zoom in image, the material doesnt look very nice and looks quite cheap IYSWIM.

    Wedding Outfit - Help
Can someone give me some inspiration (and confidence). I need to buy a wedding outfit for a June wedding. Easy right? Not this time. The wedding is my partners cousin which means that ALL his family are going to be there.
I havent spent that much time with his family but I know, and my partner admits that his family are VERY different to me.
I consider myself to be quite fashionable, I love my clothes and I take pride in my appearance. Im sure his family take pride in how they look but they are not particularly worried about the clothes they wear, they dont wear make up and are not into trendy hairstyles. I should point out at this point that my partner is not like his family at all!!!
I want to feel and look good for this wedding but cant help feeling uneasy about what I choose to wear because I will want to go for something fashionable and that makes me feel good but I dont want to feel like his family are looking at me in disagreement.
What look would you go for? Any inspiration would help!
    Answer:
    Hello.
I'm pretty convinced my OH's family don't fully approve of the way I dress either - they insist on buying me vouchers for the places they shop at rather than the shops I like. His sister (who is only 26) dresses the same as their mother.
Anyway, with a wedding I think you need to strike a balance between something that is 'you' and something that is still appropriate for the occassion. What sort of thing do you like/normally wear?
I always tend to wear dresses at weddings. I've just ordered this one from Topshop
which if it doesn't look awful, I'm thinking of wearing for one of the several weddings I'm going to this year.
Last year I bought a prom dress dress from Warehouse which is hugely flattering and they still have lots in that style now which are good for weddings too.
    Answer:
I agree with sanddancer about striking a balance. I think that you should still be yourself, regardless of if that means wearing something fashionable, you will feel a lot more comfortable and happier there just being you! So long as it is still appropriate for the occasion, then his relatives would have no right to be disagreeable. What kind of thing were you thinking of wearing?
(btw... I love that dress!! ^^)
    Answer:
Thanks Sanddancer and Heaven Storms, it's good to hear that other people have this issues as well!!
I like to wear a mixture of things really, I dont really feel comfortable in dresses unless its a tunic dress with leggings because my bottom half is bigger than my top and I never feel they fit very well.
I think im just really nervous about what to choose for reasons such as I wear heels or wedges whereas they were sensible shoes!!
Las t summer o/h sister came to visit for his birthday and we went out with a group of 20, I wore my demin shorts from whistles and she didnt really approve of that because of their length (theyre short).
I think I am going to go with what I feel good in, as it's a summer wedding maybe linen trousers with a pretty vest top or if I can find a pretty skirt or dress then go with that. Your posts have given me the confidence to go with what I feel is appropriate and not be afraid to be me!!
PS Sanddancer - that is a lovely dress!!!
    Answer:
Sanddancer; Lovely dress but are you not a bit warey about wearing white to someone elses wedding? I seen a gorgeous dress in Coast, it was white but had pastel coloured ribbons running all down it so you could only see bits of the white, and I told myself I couldnt have it despite being desperate for a dress because of the little bits of white on it. :(

Is this top still around in TS stores?
It's out of stock on the site (although they've kept it on there so hopefully they may restock :fingers: ) and i just wondered if it was still around in stores or not? I.e. is there any chance of me getting my grubby mitts on it still :D
    Answer:
Actually can i turn this into a plea :o I don't think it's been in stock for a long time and they didn't have it in my local TS when i went a couple of weeks back
So if anyone sees a 14 i would love them forever :flower:
    Answer:

    NO.4. ask :
    Can I wear this?
I am due to go to a black-tie do in a couple of weeks.
I have a black Hobbs 'Audrey' dress which i bought for a similar event a couple of years ago. It is black, knee length, with a floaty skirt, a waist ribbon and has subtle black velvet spots all over. It is like the dress on the far right but all black, iyswim.
Do you think that will look OK given that it is nearly summer? I don't really have time to shop for another dress between now and then. I was possibly thinking of ordering some cream ribbon for the waist, wearing it with a cream pashmina and making it in to more of a 'black and cream' outfit.
    Any opinions?
    Thanks.
    Answer:
I think the ribbon idea is a good one. I'd go for a brighter colour though, like a fushia or strong green. With matching shoes and bag it'll look lovely and summery too.
    Answer:
Oh I think it would look lovely with a coloured ribbon etc - any time of year! Its sleeveless so would be cool, and either cream or a light blue would look lovely.
    Answer:
Ohh i love your dress ! It’s very nice and classy .
I think that with cream accessories it would be perfect ;)
    Answer:
Thank you for the vote of confidence.

    NO.5. ask :
Kate Moss for topshop - am I alone?
Am I alone in thinking that she has sinply ripped off other designer's styles that she has worn herself?
In this weeks Heat there are pics of herself in things then underneath a pic of her design.
While I think the clothes are nice enough I certainly won't be rushing to my local store or getting up early to get the stuff online. Is it only me that really can't see what the fuss is about?
Would people be going as mad for it if it said New Look or Miss Selfridge in the label?
I think not but then maybe i'm in the minority?
    Sox x
    Answer:
I like some of the items but haven't been overwhelmed by the collection.
I think what she's done is create a selection of items based on her style for those people that have ever thought 'Ooh I like her dress ' etc which in a way is good seeing as what she's worn is probably tres expensive, limited stock etc
I can see most of the stock getting 'flipped' (term stolen from yesterday's Guardian  ) on ebay.
Oddly enough when this concept of her launching a collection was published I mocked it saying it would be all stuff she wears with a hefty price tag  and drew some artist's impressions...
    Answer:
I'm not remotely interested in any of the Kate Moss collection; mainly because there are enough clones of her (or people attempting to!) walking around, and I don;t want to wear the same stuff as everyone else.

I'm also surprised by how little she's actually 'done', i mean anyone can root around their wardrobe, find something and get it made in a different colour/fabric by a seamstress. :cmdunno:

I'm amazed she can put her name to a range that is so derivative to what she wears anyway; the floral tea dress is identicle to her own one. The clothes are not to my taste anyway, the skinny jeans are like any other pair you can find in a Highstreet store, the one shouldered dresses are blatant copies from what she wore and make them very recognisable and easily dateable.
    Answer:
Some of the stuff I like and I do generally love Kate Moss's style. That said, I was looking at some pictures of a different model wearing some of the designs and they looked very ordinary :cmdunno: I think on KM they look great - but IMO pretty much everything on KM looks great so what does that say about the designs? There are a couple of things I'll try and track down but as you say LauraRose a lot of it will be so easily recognisable and there will be a billion KM clones walking around wearing EXACTLY the same look :meh:
    Answer:
The only thing I liked were the one shoulder dresses and the pansy printed tea dress, but they're so easy to recognise I'm worried I'll look like a fashion victim! I think I'll be giving this range a miss.
