If you have no luck you can always order them on-line, although the postage is 3.95... dunno if there are any online promos atm... perhaps someone else can help?
Good friday purchases
NO.2. ask :
Good friday purchases
I know we have a big 'what did you buy' thread, but I thought I'd start a mini Good Friday one! Took advantage of being off college and headed down to Manchester for the day to stock up for my holiday.
One mahoosive Primark haul later, and I've come home with....
~3 x cotton v-neck, loose fitting vest tops (almost identical to my Topshop one !!) in black, white and tangerine - £3 each, Primark
~2 x ribbed racer back vests in khaki and white - £2 each, Primark
~Mint green short kaftan top (cotton) - £4, Primark
~Chocolate brown gypsy skirt - £6, Primark
~Tangerine/peach thin hooded top - £6, Primark
~White crochet wrap over jumper (gorgeous!!) - £8, Primark
~Pink fine knit sparkly shrug from the Kids section in Primark - just what I've been looking for and only £5!
~Plain black hipster knickers - Debenhams in the 4 for £10 offer (my mum bought the other 3 pairs!)
~Pink and black bra knickers set - £16 (10+6), BHS
~Black tiered gypsy skirt (the one that everyone's been raving about!) - £14.99, HM
~The same skirt in a lovely baby mint green
~Funky little coin purse - £2.99, HM
~2 x fabric shoppers, one in an ethnic-y black and orange pattern, one with funky green swirls - £2.99 each, HM
~Sketchbook - £4, Paperchase
~Huge A3 sheet of handmade red paper - £1.25, Paperchase sale
~And the shoes I've been lusting after in Faith but they'd sold out of in my local branch - little flat white shoes that are all elasticated on the sides (so mega comfy!) with silvery butterflies embroidered on the front - £22.50, Faith
~(oh, and a loaf of onion bread from the french market - lovely!)
So now I'm all set for the summer/my hols and mega chuffed at all my bargains!!
Anyone else got anything exciting to share?? :yay:
Answer:
They are lovely and really comfy aren't they, I have them in green but they only cost me £12 a few months ago
No buys to share since I haven't been shopping in a little while.
I hate it when they do that!
I've convinced myself that I can justify so much spending with a) the fact that I haven't been shopping in ages, b) I found £50 of paychecks that I hadn't banked (!!) and c) I needed all (most) of the stuff for my holiday.
No more shopping for a decade for me!!
Answer:
i also did a huge primark shop yesterday.
Was actually hunting for spring coats/jackets for the kids so called into and to look at there george stuff and was looking at the underwear section (I like there knickers).
all the packs of everyday pants and thongs were reduced so I bought a few packets and a new bra. It only came to £9 but then I had to go and explain to hb who was waiting patiently in the car why I came out with no jackets for kids but 21 pairs of knickers for me:lol:

Wow, they sound so nice! I can't find them on the Faith website though, do you have a picture or know whereabouts on the website they might be (at least while on that website I found some cute ballerina pumps I have been looking for, for only £20, thanks!
It's so not far my local Prmiark is too far away =( Hopefully It shouldn't be long before they open the coventry branch!

Answer:
They had some lovely kaftans that would look great over jeans.
They came in brown or khaki with beading around the neckline, sleeves and bottom. They were see through with a drawstring at the waist to gather it in, i really want one but they didn't have my size!!!!:(
I wanted to wear it with a little vest top underneath (so i didn't expose to much boobies :p ) dark jeans and either some flatties for daytime or heels for night time:)
They also have loads of gypsy style skirt that would look nice with a vest top and chunky belt.
And my bargain from there was a Suede turquoise bag and matching belt for £5 each. They also did the bags in brown and lime:)
Hope this helps :)

Hey Becca :)
I went on a spree last Saturday ... my fave bargain buy was a white knee length gypsy skirt with embroidery panels (exactly like one in HM for £14.99 byut this was in Primark for £6!!! They had mint green too but not in my size...
They have some funky belts too, which would look nice with said skirt and a vest top like Lena says.
Today got some great vest tops too for layering and bought a few basic round neck tees in a few colours and a few in white (always need white tees/ vests) they come up longer than most so can be worn under other tops/ tees :)
They also have some linen trousers in there but didnt have my size :(
Answer:
I got some of the linen trousers and they are really nice except they are very low cut and as a mum of three my belly does not want to be on show:eek: apart from that they are very nice.
agree about the gypsy skirts, I got a nice knee length black one for £6, a crinkle aqua color cami and a nice belt and bag.
I actually went yesterday and bought the linen trousers, a belt, 4 t shirts, bra, birkenstock style sandals, smarter brown top,6 pairs of socks. Also got daughter a long sleeve t shirt and some cute little trousers, the boys got 2 tshirts and 2 pairs of those long baggy shorts all for hte amazing amount of £50

sorry to hijack Becca.... clowe74, how long in the leg are the linen trews? I like them long and slightly baggy at the bottom.
Fashion versus house essential spending
NO.5. ask :
Fashion versus house essential spending
I'm so , our washing machine keeps eating all our clothes, well a few of mine but most of the boys and it's always his designer tops and shirts,it seems to dislike Primark t-shirts and not eat them
So we now have to fork out for a new washer dryer and it has to be an integrated one so I'm guessing will be EVEN more expensive. So so annoyed, can't even claim on the house insurance for it.
Thing is, if this was clothes or a bag it wouldn't bother me. :o
Sorry for the rant, I just need to air it :o

I hear ya I HATE household spending especially when its something like this that' you're being forced to buy because its insisting on not working!!
things that annoy me particularly are the food shopping I know we have to eat but its so expensive and it really annoys me, Council tax money for nothing £110 a month! gone poof!! and finally things like your washer dryer just breaking...our car needed a new tyre and it really bugged me...
just like you though if it was clothes or a bag I would be fine with it :D
Answer:
We're getting a really nice washer dryer for £362 from here GATC :great: Saves £100 compared to the price in comet
Hotpoint WD865A washer dryer
I know what you are saying though, paint, wallpaper and accessories i don't mind sacrificing things for but washer/dryers, microwaves etc i do :o
Answer:
We had the exact same thing last year T and I was livid! Ours was a really expensive Neff washer/dryer and, to add insult to injury, before we finally forked out for a new one, we were advised to try and get it repaired. Needless to say they couldn't repair it but they still charged us £100! :banghead:
Essential house stuff is just crap.
Answer:
is it sad to say that i'm really excited to get a new washing machine and dryer when i renovate? :o :o :o i love my washer-dryer now but it's so much faster with separate machines..
