brown leather plaited/woven belt
Hi,
Ive just decided that I need a dark brown, plaited leather belt. It needs to be plain, with no metal discs etc hanging off it, and woven so I can make the 'hole' wherever I want, if you know what I mean:confused: I have a cowboy style belt which I have loved for years, but have suddenly decided that it just wont do!
After seeing loads of these around in recent months and never bothering with them I need one now and cant find one for love nor money - can anyone help? :)
Answer:
I got one in NL - I think they still have them.
Answer:
I saw some in Dorothy Perkins too.
Answer:
I got one with a denim skirt in Bay Trading - cheaper than just the belt alone in other shops I love it!
According to the websites Next have some
Oasis have some
And when I went into town yesterday I still saw them in a few windows so you should be able to find one somewhere!
Answer:
TopShop have got a real leather one for about £20 and Bay Trading have got a fake one for £8.
misses x

I tend to wear clothes in black, gray, and taupe. I recently ordered a bag in luggage color which I'm told looks like this:
Will this color go well with my clothes or should I have ordered a black bag?
Answer:
I like that colour; it's pretty versatile. It'll be fine with black and taupe, and probably grey (especially darker grey) too - although for me, grey works best with cool colours. Personal preference only though, not a hard and fast rule.
Oh, and I like the bag too!
g_k
Answer:
Lovely bag! I really like the colour too. I think it will fit in quite well with your wardrobe!
where did that thread go?

the one about the Chloe paddington? I was reading and then it vanished?!
Answer:
Hi there...
The thread's creator has left here.com :( and had requested that all her content be deleted. If her post was the first one on the thread, then the whole thread goes because there is no way to keep the thread without the original post.
If you have a question or query in the future (about anything at all) you'll probably get a quicker reply by PMing either myself or Fairy Poppins, the other CM for Fashion.
PMs come through straight away but it can take a bit of time to get to every thread on the board!
You can access your PMs from the links at the top of the forum, which give you access to all the options that you have.
I hope that helps! :)

... and that way nothing bad will be brought to everyone's attention by a public post, it can all be kept under wraps.

Which bagger started the Paddington thread and has consequently left HB now?

That wasn't my intentions at all Sakura...it's just that quite often if I'm sitting at my desk I'll have here open, but won't be actively reading the forums. If someone sends me a pm, the wee box pops up and alerts me, meaning that said person gets a quicker reply.
I'm just trying to be helpful. As you can see, I also have no problem answering queries on the boards. :)
Edited for horrendous caffine and study enduced typos!
Dubai - What Clothes??
NO.4. ask :
Dubai - What Clothes??
Hey,
I'm off to Dubai on Saturday for a week. Will be working during the day, so the suits are ready, but I'm looking for advice on what to bring for the evening/going shopping. I've heard the dress code in the hotel bars/restaurants is smart casual, and I'm also wary of covering up sufficiently.
Any ideas??
Answer:
Dubai is pretty 'westernised' but they've been tightening up a bit recently I think, because of the whole loss of culture thing.
Nothing too low-cut, short-sleeved is probably ok in bars and restaurants but avoid sleeveless. I wouldn't wear a skirt that is shorter than knee-length.
If you go down the souqs then wear trousers/long skirt and a top that covers you, e.g. long-sleeved t-shirt. You won't get arrested, just stared at, and it's also disrespectful to bare too much.
It's confusing because they have all the same shops as here - Oasis, Next, Debenhams etc and sell all the strappy stuff, but best not to push it too much in public.
I was in Qatar 4 weeks ago and it wasn't that warm but Mum says it's warmed up a lot now.
Answer:
Thanks Donjc!
Have checked the weather, and the average temp should be 24-27 degrees while I'm there. Have some linen trousers and skirts that I was planning on bringing, and some long sleeved shirts and t-shirts as you recommend. I have some strappy tops that I want to bring, but have some bolero cardies that I'm going to wear over them.
Would be even more excited if I'd ironed and started packing!
Answer:
i went to dubai last summer , there is no real issue with clothing , if you are going to dubai you have to go to a shopping centre called Diera City centre it has all the shops that we have here Topshop, Next, Oasis, Body shop, monsoon, accesserize etc etc it might be a good idea to research for a few shopping centres on the web so you know where you want to go. the only transport available are taxi's however they are ridiculously cheap. Any ways have a great time and buy lots!
Answer:
You can get away with pretty much anything, within reason in the bars/hotels - which are lovely, but so western you really could be anywhere in the world!
Down town, or generally ouside the hotels you do need to be careful - wise is probably a better word - with your dress. On the one hand to avoid offense, on the other hand to avoid hassle. Modest clothing, and cover legs and arms. Common sense really!
Have a lovely time. And have a swim for me! The last time I went the sea was hotter than the bath!! Unbearable!

Sorry this isnt in the sticky, but I need a quick answer!
Im just about to sell my first item on ebay (yay!) but at the bottom of the page it says:
You are about to list an item in a category called ‘Other’. Sellers who list in these categories typically receive 25% fewer bids than sellers who used named categories.
There are now over 10,000 categories on eBay.co.uk, so you should be able to find a named category in which to list your item most of the time.
Please go back and choose a named category. Also click here and propose a new category that you would like to see added.
The thing is I already thought I placed it in Clothes and accesories! :S! Does this come up on every item or where do i have to go to correct this? Thanks!
Answer:
Hi
Right although you placed it in clothing and accessories - your item then goes in a sub category eg bags , then you get other options eg type brand colur etc - you have put your item in a sub catergory that is an other don't worry about it it should be fine
hope this makes sense
