Answer:
Hiya,
Lucky you!!! I couldn't even to get Mr Yingers to come over with me let alone treat me for the trip!!!
I will have left by then (my flight back is on the 19th), but Valentine (fellow bagger) is living over there atm... she might be of some help to you also.
Fiona does have a shop, I have the address and it shouldn't be difficult to find. it's based in Central which is pretty much what it is... city central on Hong Kong Island not Kowloon.
I will be reporting back about my trip though!
I'll PM you and we'll talk properly... no need to clog up the board with all this HK chitchat!
Quick - is this ok for a temp job?
NO.2. ask :
Quick - is this ok for a temp job?
I'm doing my first job for a temp agency today, working as a receptionist for a solicitor's and panicking about what to wear.
At the moment, I'm wearing:
Black wrap dress with white stripes/floral pattern
Black vest peeping through at top
Patterned black tights
Black pointy-toe heels
Black beads
Does that sound ok? As it's my first job, I want to look right and make a good impression. The girl at the agency said not suited and booted but smart as I'll be front of house.
Any reassurance would be great! Or advice as to what would be better...
Thanks girls,
np x
Answer:
That sounds spot on - good luck, I'm sure you'll be great! :)
Answer:
Thank you!! Think I just needed somebody to say that so I can calm down - leetle bit nervous
Also, I am guessing I should wear different outfits each day, right? Any suggestions as to types of outfits that would be suitable?
God, I am awful at this! Can't wait to be a teacher so I can wear whatever freaky outfit I like and be thought of as 'creative' :yay:

Answer:
I'v been temping for three years, so if I don't know what to wear temping, no-one does!
I'd love to be able to afford different outfits every day, but in reality I have two or three smart pairs of trousers and alternate tops/shirts. You could wear your dress again later in the week with a brighter top underneath and different tights and I bet no-one would notice it was the same dress you had on on Monday or whatever.
If you pay attention to what everyone else is wearing in the officed, you'll probably see the same outfits coming up again and again anyway. Mr.Vig temps and quite shamefully he only owns one smart shirt - he just wears a t-shirt underneath it every day so it doesn't smell by the end of the week
Answer:
Sounds lovely - smart. Good luck with the job
Ebay - bad seller - what to do?
NO.3. ask :
Ebay - bad seller - what to do?
This is the first time I've ever had any trouble with ebay and it is a very minor thing involving a mere £3 but half of my brain keeps saying "its not the cost it's the priciple".
Not last Saturday, the one before, I won some gap jeans for a mere £3. I paid by paypal immediatley. By the following Saturday they still hadn't turned up and the seller had ignored two emails I had sent to him in the week. I had to get his phone number from ebay and call him to find out what was going on, and whilst he was not rude he was most unforthcoming. Anyway they turned up on Monday and are 2 whole sizes bigger than he said. The listing said they were a 30" waist and they are in fact 34" - so not a 12 but a 16. There's no way I can wear them they are just too big everywhere.
Obviously I am going to leave nagative feedback: v. slow to post, ignored emails, item not as descibed etc. But should I ask for a refund? If I do will I have to pay the postage to send them back or does he have to pay that as well? And if I do ask for a refund do I do this before leaving the feedback?
Like I said, its not the money it's just the principle of the thing. The weird thing is all his feedback is great.
Answer:
Can't you do a charge back with Paypal if you're not happy or is that just for stuff that doesn't show up? It's worth checking this out. If not on here, then on the ebay forums.
Are they a short leg 29" ? if they are, I will buy them off you as they should fit me! I am looking for some bootleg jeans at the moment. pm me if you want to contact me.
Have you told the buyer that you're not happy with the item? Most people say 'no refunds unless item not as described' and I think this definitely fits the bill.
I'm sure you will get it sorted one way or the other. I hate being ripped off, but if he's got loads of other good feedback it may just be a mistake/off day.

Answer:
I've not had this problem exactly, but where the item is wrong size, etc. they should take liability for that which means full refund and return postage costs.
There is nothing to make them do that or that can make them guarantee you a full refund - your complaint is legitimate though and you should get a refund on the basis that the item received is not as what was described.
It just depends if they care whether or not if you give them neg feedback as this is all they have to lose at this point.
I received an item which was as described, unfortunately it had offcuts of hair in the bag (the girl just had her hair cut when she used the bag last) and when I complained about this, she gave me a full refund, but didn't cover the postage... it wasn't that much but I didn't actually pay for the postage anyway.
I agree it's the principle over the whole thing... I just don't understand awful ebayers like that.
Answer:
Right I emailed the seller on Weds to explain the problem with the jeans and to see if we could sort it out before I left negative feedback. He's still not replied (unsuprisingly)so I went to leave the negative feedback and the ebay blurb says I should try to phone him before I do.
I don't really want to as he wasn't very nice last time I spoke to him and I've accepted that £3 is not worth making a fuss over. Mr H says just go ahead and leave neg. feedback but I'm not sure. Opinions/experience of this please.
Answer:
Has he already left you positive feedback? If so, I'd say go ahead and negative him. If not, try again to get in touch.

NO.5. ask :
Att Irish baggers!!Primark wrap dresses
Finally!!! I've been doing weekly spot checks, and Pennys have finally got the wrap dresses thaty everyone here is raving about! :) They have black, teal green and a black printed one - like peacock feather print. So I bought one of each, at €13 a pop you cant go wrong :yay: cha cha cha!!
Although, they are slightly more expensive than our neighbours, but hey whats new!
Oh - I got them in Pennys, Henry Street Dublin btw.
Answer:
I was just about to post the exact same thing!!! I got a black one on O'Connell street last night, the Teal one is fab but I don't feel comfortable in colours. I didn't like the printed one, it looked quite cheap imo, wrong material for a print....
Bargain!!! :D
Answer:
yeah I wasn't sure about the print one either, but at that price I had to snap it up!! My bf thinks it's  but I honestly think its nicer than the ones in Topshop or Miss Selfridges etc
I could always try to sell it on ebay for €50 with the other 'just like DVF' dresses
Answer:
I'm raging I didn't get one of the Dunnes ones when they had them, they were better material.
Sasha have them too apparently, €45. I tried on a few in Wallis and they were hideous.
Answer:
I saw one in Dunnes on Sunday but it was the Savida range and €50. It was quite nice but I refuse to pay €50 for a Dunnes dress!
