still on the hunt for appropriate dress for summer wedding. it is in the middle of summer but it's quite a formal affair.
this is a short dress in silk jersey - is it appropriate or not "festive" enough?

I'm not a huge fan of busy prints but I don't think it would look out of place at a wedding if you dressed it up enough, I think it's a lot easier to get away with prints in the summer. Then again, if it's very formal affair I might feel more comfortable in something slightly plainer?

Hi there, last week I saw the thread on purple havainanas and thought it was a brilliant idea for my sister in law who's birthday it is today ( she's obsessed with purple and we're going on holiday in two weeks).
I tried the powder room website but they were sold out in her size, so I ordered them from rubber sole.co.uk. My order arrived on Monday in the wrong colour, obviously I complained, they have now sent me a pair of the purple ones but they've got green pen all over them:boohoo: I'm fuming with them!
It's her birthday today but I'm not actually seeing her until tomorrow, does anyone know where I can get an english size 5 in any shade of purple that will get here by tomorrow?

I am trying to get hold of Topshop, been trying since yesterday as I am trying to track where one of my parcels is (it has gone to the completely wrong depot and appears to be sitting in a warehouse) and I would like to make sure everything is ok. However, when I try the TS phone number, they just say 'we cannot take your call at the moment' and hang up on me!
Anyone else had any problems getting through to TS?

Don't get me started on topshop! The last 2 things ordered didn't have returns labels in, so i emailed them to send me out some......i didn't recieve any so thought i would try to ring them....well i've tried to ring them about 10 times in all, each time i never get through!:mad:

I wouldn't worry about the 14 day return policy as long as you have a returns number. I think you do need the return sticker supplied in order to get free pp though, not sure.
Also you just have to keep trying with Zoom customer service telephone line. Last time i called i waited 25 mins, i was ready to complain when i got through but the fella on the line had one seriously sexy voice that i forgot all about my rage. :heyhey: :lol:

I'm getting married in New York in September I need to start thinking about my dress!
I don't want a "wedding dress", it won't be appropriate, we're simply going to tie the knot at Manhattan City Offices with my best friend her husband as our only guests.
We won't be able to get married until we have the licence which we can't obtain until we're over there, so until the time comes we won't know what time of day the ceremony will take place.
I'll therefore need to look for something suitable for a day time ceremony lunch, as well as something for the evening. Or something that can carry me through from late afternoon into the evening if it's a late afternoon ceremony.
We'll have drinks a meal somewhere really fantastic, but definitely not somewhere formal. We've chosen this type of wedding because we want something relaxed but exciting memorable - we want to have fun but naturally I want my dress to feel special too. It's a tuff one!
Can anyone help style me for my wedding day? Or suggest the best place for me to go shopping? Any particular shops in the West London area you think I should head for?
